I would imagine at least the Dominoes. Thanks for all of the trivia. GMW is pretty good but it really lacks that classic feel BMW did. I mean this was 2014, only 10 years ago this year but I'm glad it was a spinoff and not a reboot. It great seeing the some of the original cast return. They looked pretty good and it was especially good seeing Mr. Finney. I'd like to see more and stuff but let's do what we did before once October 1st is on, take a little hiatus from this Topic if that's ok with you PB because we'll have a lot with the Halloween Topics.

Okay, here's this Schweig Engel from 1980. He's impersonating Mr. T. They did this a lot with movie properties and stuff. Their pretty funny. You'll see more in time :)

That was pretty funny, lol. So you don't want more BMW clips until October? Ok, we can do some random clips and I'll just sprinkle in episodes down the line like I sometimes do with Community. But to quote Bad News Barrett,,,

Image

There's just one more Lauren Saga related bit from season 3 of Girl Meets World. If you recall in the last post when Riley heard the story of Lauren she shouted, "So that's why we never go skiing!" Well, in season 3 they do go skiing in a two-parter called Girl Meets Ski Lodge. I won't bore you with the entire episodes because most of it revolves around a love triangle of the girls and Lucas and who he wants to be with, but there's a couple funny bits that tie into BMW that I'll post today and then we can move on and ready ourselves for pumpkin time.

I saw this when it first aired and it was always kind of weird to me because Josh is Cory's younger brother but he was born in season 6 so he's half Cory's age and just a couple years older than the students. But Maya has a crush on him and in these episodes they discusss maybe having a relationship when they're both a little older because he has feelings for her too. But it's kind of weird because if it ever went somewhere and they got married, Maya would then be Riley's aunt, which would be pretty weird if you ask me.

While there the girls meet a night clerk named Evan and as you could probably guess, he and Riley end up staying up all night and talking. And this makes Lukas jealous and upset, but eventually it's revealed that all Riley talked about all night were her friends and Lukas and it was much more innocent than it seemed it everything is fine by the time the second episode ends. Ah, teenage drama.

And then everyone prepares to leave the lodge and we get this for an ending...

Ok, so that brings to a complete close to the Lauren Saga. For now. If you don't want more BMW tomorrow I will find some other random clip to share. Stay tuned!

I think you misunderstood Me Packer. Keep on posting GMW and/or BMW until October 1st because we will have Our hands full with the Halloween Topics. I mean if you want to post in the Zen additionally then go-ahead PB...I'm just thinking that we don't want to over do it or be overwhelmed. I hope understand Packer :)

First back to Pluto. I hated that they declared it a Dwarf planet and not a main one anymore  Those were good. That was close to the Lauren saga there especially since his "his mother says hello" I'm liking the original cast of the previous generation & show more because of times & such but what makes Me like GMW is that is indeed a spinoff & not a reboot so keep posting this PB :)

Okay good. I'm glad you like Schweig Engel. I seen them all the time on TV when I was a youngster even to when I was a young man in the 2000s. I found a lot of them on YT which really I was surprised about and a couple that is for Halloween :blbat: :blsm: :blmm: Here's this one :)

It's amazing what is on YT sometimes, lol. Such obscure things you'd never think would somehow still be around.

Ok, I was a little unclear on what you were saying, but since we only have a few days until the normal threads closedown for October fun, let me hit on a few key episodes of BMW post-Starry Night. So the next episode that was banned from airing on the Disney Channel was two episodes later, and it quickly becomes obvious why. I think I posted clips from this ep previously, but I skimmed the thread and couldn't find it, so maybe I didn't. I couldn't find any clips that are the complete epsidoe but I've cobbled together what I could. A little of it is a bit out of order but not to the point where it's too confusing, but a few might overlap. Either way, here's Prom-ises, Prom-ises, an episode with a classic Three's Company chain of misunderstandings...

And then two episodes later season 5 would end with a pretty big and surprising cliff hanger. If you're unsure whether the network is going to pick you up for another season, then leave them with a question too big to not have an answer for.

Okay. I'm glad that is clear now ;) Good trivia there PB. Those clips were pretty nice. How about that prom. Yeah, I'll say that's a cliffhanger :o :batshock: :wwsmh: :smgasp:

Okay, here's some cool stuff from KPLR Channel 11 which was arguably my fave channel. from back in the day. You'll like some of this because it's what you talk about often PB, just you watch. This one is from 1992 :!:

From 1993 :!:

From 1994, 30 years ago this year

I got two more from KPLR Channel 11 that is Baseball for tomorrow :)

The Fall Guy just started rerunning on TV. I've watched a few random episodes. I really only remember the song from back in the day as I was a little young to follow the storylines when it aired back then. Cheers though would be top 10 sitcoms for me, along with Three's Company, Community, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Golden Girls, and Boy Meets World. That's why you probably get a lot of clips from those specific shows in this thread.

Ok, well, season 5 did have a doozy of a cliffhanger...

So season 6 would have a wedding in it, just not Cory and Topanga. Season 6 might actually be my least favorite season. There's some fun episodes but a lot of it is going to college and many forgettable episodes. They're not bad, they just aren't as funny or as memorable or as important to the overall story of the show. I have shared some clips from episodes previously, but due to time restraints we're going to jump way ahead to finish this out. There is the one episode where Professor Fred Savage hits on Topanga while alone with her in her dorm room, and Cory almost gets expelled for punching him.

Image

There's also an episode where Eric sets up cameras in the apartment and takes on the role of Ed Harris from The Truman Show.

Image

We would also get the previously shared The Psychotic Episode for the second last episode of the season.

Image

Mr Feeny retired for a couple episodes but then came back to take college courses at Pennbroke as well, which eventually leads to him being in class with the gang that's being taught by Dean Bollander (his real life wife, Bonnie Bartlett). Impressed by his passion, and realizing he may not be done teaching, she offers him a job at the school teaching eventually they will get married at the end of the season by Earl Boen a prevalent character actor whom we've talked about before and appears in tons of shows over the years.

Image

Shawn and Angela breakup but decide to maybe be friends with benefits and that's the third episode that was banned from the Disney Channel. Shawn's dad, the great Blake Clark, would also return and promptly die of a heart attack leading to the boys going on a road trip. Eventually they would return for a two-parter where the birth of Joshua Mattews gets complicated and it's revealed he might not survive. But he does. And then the season ends with Topanga's parents coming in for Feeny's wedding and to help plan Cory and Topanga's wedding.

There's a little bit of the end of The Pyschotic Episode to start this clip, but it was the best/shortest clip I could find to cover the events of the season finale...

This would be the first time we meet Topanga's mom, played here by Annette O'Toole alongside real life husband, Michael McKean. This would be the second time we meet Jebidiah Lawrence, except the first time many seasons ago he was portrayed by the Monkees Peter Tork. And then when season 7 picks up we'd have two new actors in the roles, Marcia Cross and Mark Harelik, which was weird back then. O'Toole and Cross at least resemble each other, while her dads look nothing alike.

Image

So that's where season 6 left us. I might have to stretch this out two more days just to not make it too long and overwhelming to go through, so bare with me just a little longer.

I thought you'd like those even though it doesn't show much ;) Yes, isn't it amazing how a movie starts a trend or makes a TV show that it's based on have re-runs on TV...it's like is that what it takes...what was wrong with all the years beforehand :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: Wow, there was a lot there and all of it was good. Nice trivia there there about the cast. I liked Annette O'Toole. She was kinda sweet & hot back her day. Yes, that's cool about Earl Boen. I'm glad you recalled we talked about him before. He will forever be Dr. Peter Silberman in the first three Terminator films to Me. Gosh, if I knew a girl all My life since I was a youngster, we're close and loved each other and especially Me loving her for everything about her and she asks Me to marry her...sure I would be quite surprised but very euphoric and I would say yes within a millisecond, believe you Me :!: There's no way in Sam "Freggin" Heck I would ever pass that up and miss that opportunity :!: Unfortunately I never got that opportunity while others have to know a girl for years & years and then be married to her  Okay, if you want to continue this then go ahead, just let Me know when your gonna stop, I'm sure I can get some more content too because there's so much I want to show ;)

Okay, now follow Me here. Here's more of KPLR Channel TV Channel 11. This one is from 1994, 30 years ago this year. It's of the Kids Club at the Ballpark. There's a couple, really nice looking girls here. Gosh, look at Bush Stadium, I just loved that place, it was so good to be at and for a time it was My home away from home. There's Fred Bird. I met him back in the day which I revealed in My showcase last year :) Okay, now follow Me here. When you see that Dairy Queen/DQ, that's actually the location on Hampton Avenue, the same Hampton that I talk about all the time  I've been there a ton of times throughout My years :)

Okay, here's this one of KPLR TV Channel 11 a little bit after they became WB 11 in 1999, 25 years ago this year. Oh man, take Me back this time. This one is all about "The Century Team". It's really cool how they show all of this in such quick time and they finish it off with "Big Mac" Mark McGwire who I would choose on My team anytime :)

I wonder who else was on that list. Bob Gibson, Dazzy and Dizzy Dean. Ozzie, and Stan Musial for sure.

Bear with me for just a couple more days as I need tomorrow to wrap this up at a staisfactory point alongside the start-up of the Halloween threads.

So season 7 picks up with Topanga calling off the wedding and breaking up with Cory saying that love is not enough to keep a relationship alive, which was really a little bit odd considering all the things they'd gone through in past seasons, but they're still teenagers and you need some kind of drama so, whatever I guess. Jack and Rachel have also broken up (she was the tall redhead in previous clips) and even though it was Jack's apartment, he agrees to let the girls live there and he and Eric will move out. Which doesn't sit well with Eric and they end up wrestling in the second episode of the season which leads to a guest appearance by mankind, er, Mankind which aired on October 1, 1999. I was curious, so I looked, in the WWE Mankind had just lost in a six-pack challenge at Unforgiven on September 26 in a match that featured Triple-H, the Rock, the British Bulldog, Big Show, and Kane with special guest enforcer Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Image

While all that was going on, Cory and Shawn drove to Pittsburgh to try and get Topanga's parents to reconcile, but fail, and discover the reason they were separating was due to Topanga's father having an extramarital affair. The next episode is one of my favorites guest starring the late, great Julius Carry in the role of Angela's military father who is there to teach an ROTC course, while Eric plots throughout the whole episode to get revenge on Topanga in increasing zany ways.

Image

Both these episodes I've shared clips from previously, but they might mean more now with more context. Before the episode ends, through talking with her dad, it's revealed that Angela's mom ran out on them when she was younger, and she was afraid she would someday run out on Shawn so she broke up with him to save him. But they end up reconciling, which gives hope to Cory who is trying to win Topanga back. In the next episode Topanga's parents visit and she finds out about her dad's affair, but after talking with her mother, who explains to her that their failure shouldn't make her afraid to love someone, Topanga and Cory get back together and the wedding is back on. Which leads us here...

Stop this first clip at about the 2:30 (the rest of the clip happens later)

I couldn't find clips of the next few scenes but there's one where Amy Matthews gifts Topanga her wedding dress that has been worn by everyone in her family since the Civil War, to the delight of Morgan who gleefully watches on.

Image

There's then a segment where Cory's dad brings musicians he's willing to pay for for the wedding that include a boozing elderly conductor, a hip-hop DJ, a one-woman band, and two Elvis impersonators on a marimba. None of which the couple are fond of. Alan's solution is to hire Mr. Feeny and his jazz band to perform at the reception for free, but Cory and Topanga aren't fond of that idea either. Which leads us here...

The episode then ends with the revelation that Cory and Topanga have been talking to the entire family the whole episode and they tell them that rather than wait until June they've decided to get married next week zfriday, which leads to Mr. Feeeny asking the question we all wondered, "You’re gonna go through with it this time, aren’t you?"

And then the show ends with this...

And yes, back then we did go to the website and RSVP, lol. Sadly, the website is gone now, even on the waybackmachine I can't seem to find a true link to it anymore. I don't recall much I know there were pictures and stuff and you could type your names to RSVP. The internet was still pretty new back then, so this was a fun tie-in. So join me tomorrow for one last episode before we close down for Halloween.

Hope to see you there!

Really good trivia there. Gosh, her dress got around. Of course an affair  Her having twitching and having ticks is really a serious thing. IThe tall redhead is pretty nice. That was awesome about Mankind :!: This storyline is pretty good. That great all the stuff You posted.

Kris Kristofferson has died  He just wasn't a singer, he was a good actor too. In fact he was a crime boss in the 1997 Steven Seagal film, Fire Down Below.

Pete Rose has passed away

It's bad enough he will never be in the MLB Hall of Fame but shame he he's not the WWE HOF either :!:

May they both Rest in Peace

May they both rest in peace. Sadly, we also lost Dikembe Mutombo yesterday to complete the triangle.

But enough death, we are gathered here one last time before we close this thread down for a bit to celebrate the union of Cory and Topanga. So let's travel back in TGIF-ime to November 5th, 1999...

Everyone is a little suspicious about how Eric managed to get the wedding moved to such a beautiful hotel, but the wedding soon begins...

At that's how the wedding episode would end. But what's a wedding without a wedding night?

While they couldn't ban the entire episode, that opening scene was apparently removed from reruns on Disney Channel. And that's why Girl Meets World should've never been on the Disney Channel.

So thanks for going on this journey back with me. I honestly had only planned on doing a few clips from the Lauren episodes but you seemed to be enjoying the show and with so few days left before the thread was shutting down for Halloween, I thought we'd continue on instead of saving it all for another day. This way it's all more fresh in your memory as you watch And maybe we'll get to the honeymoon someday.
