I remember those. I have a Brett Favre somewhere in the same scale from Starting Lineup. I miss seeing them down the aisle at TRU.

Yes, that's correct, here's My Resident Evil 12" figure collection and these are some of the best looking figures ever IMO :batwink: These are all made by Hot Toys These were much more expensive than the figures made by Sideshow Toys during the cool era of the mid 2000s when things were still actually affordable. I'm a big RE fan and it really irks Me that their rebooting the franchise for this generation like so much else  I wanted these really bad and I was afraid I wasn't going to be in time for them before they sold out everywhere so I asked My Mom to get them for Christmas for Me and she was able too ;) The following three characters from RE4 which is one of the best video games I've ever played and arguably the greatest of the whole franchise :)

Here's Leon S. Kennedy, he's My fav of the heroes and I love the way Hot Toys made him. He's got such a realistic sculpt and his clothing looks to real. He has a RE4 Display Stand, He has a ton of articulation and I would imagine that any articulation freak would want these just for that I mean their like Toy Biz's Marvel Legends and move even more :o

Image
Image
Image

He's got a great arsenal of weaponry like he did in the game, even his communicator with Ingrid Hunnigan on there

Image
Image

Here's Dr. Salvador the Chainsaw Ganado whom is really cool. I love the blood splattered paint on him.

Image

He comes with his Ax, Pitchfork & Chainsaw and RE4 Stand.

Image

She got Me the exclusive version with the Double-Bladed Chainsaw :o

Image

Here's Jack Krauser and his Robot. He features rubber skin and was one of the first HT to sport this new feature. He has his weapons including his Machine Gun & Knife. He's in his transformed state of Las Plagas and the effects of the rubber skin work wonderfully. His Robot looks really authentic and he also has a RE4 Display Stand as well.

Image
Image
Image

Now the following I bought directly from Sideshow Toys which it was weird that their selling their competition's product  It really helped since I was still in time to get the first three initial figures from RE4. So first out of the Resident Evil 5 series is Jill Valentine. She's in her S.T.A.R.S. Uniform. She looks pretty good and has her weapons & RE5 Display Stand. Later they made the Parasite Battle Suit version but I really wasn't interested in a very expensive variant and besides, I was happy with this one because this is her iconic blue & gray look ;)

Image
Image

Here's her former partner Chris Redfield, he's loaded with weaponry & RE5 Display Stand and he has a much larger rubber skin body here and is really bulked up. He looks terrific :!:

Image
Image

Now here's his partner Sheva Alomar. She is such a great character that's quite underrated. She has a good selection of her arsenal plus a RE5 Display Stand.

Image
Image
Image

She's really a beauty and has her Arabian tattoo on her left arm. I love her face. She has the Hot Toys True Type Female Body which is rubber, busty and very sexy. This works wonderfully for Sheva as she looks quite accurate. I find her very hot, beautiful and quite frankly she has some of the most wowing cleavage as well :batwink:

Image
Image

Now here's Albert Wesker whom is totally awesome. he; one of My favorite villains of all-time. He's got such a arsenal of weapons and his RE5 Display Stand. His clothing is Pleather and works marvelously :batwink:

Image
Image
Image

His neck has a switch, switching it makes his eyes light up making the effect of his Las Plagas look really menacing :blmm:

Image

Now here's My most wanted of all...Ada Wong :batshock: Yes, they made her at the last minute before they cancelled the series which I was so glad that they did :wwshock: :smgasp: She's My fav female character of the whole franchise if not My favorite regardless of gender. Her face looks really good and clearly Asian. She has a different HT True Type body here as she isn't busty or anything like that. I love how her legs are especially the bare right one coming out of her extremely accurate red dress. She has a ton of game accurate weapons & gadgets + her RE4 Display Stand.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Now if your a kit-basher and put different clothing on your figures your gonna see them naked regardless of gender. Now I don't kit-bash figures like these however, their too expensive and fragile too. However For a long while it was bugging Me that HT didn't put panties on her (NECA didn't paint her panties on either and that also was kinda disappointing). Yeah, I like naked women but I want My gals to have some clothing under there for teasing and realistic stances so I took an extra pair of panties that one of My female figures weren't using and I put them on Ada and they worked great and look quite nice on her and really she's much more sexier looking especially if you see her in the RE4 video games & RE5 movie, she's got black panties under there so it was cool how this worked out :batwink:

Image
Image

Here's Ada Wong's Box from Sideshow and her actual Hot Toys Box with opened 5th Panel. I'm glad they chose these pictures of her on there, these have always wowed Me :batwink:

Image
Image
Image
Image

Now the only movie figure they made was Alice played by the superb Milla Jovovich whom is a newer exclusive character to the franchise since the first film in 2002. This version of her is from Afterlife. She has an absolute ton of weapons and I love how she double-wields two swords & two guns like she does in the films. She has her Resident Evil: Afterlife Display Stand and she is quite screen accurate with a great likeness of the great looking actress :wwwink:

Image
Image
Image

SPECIAL BONUS GALLERY!

Here's My RE4 Group. Now isn't that cool to have have them together or what from one of the best games ever :blbat:

Image

Here's My RE5 Group. Now that looks awesome :!:

Image

Here Ada with Leon & Wesker because these were the two men in her life and even though Ada & Leon had feelings for each other, there was never a chance for them to get romantically involved I mean really how could there be when Wesker is hiring her for the dirty job of being an assassin and retrieving the Las Plagas Virus :batsmh: :wwshock: :smsmh:

Image

Now one thing I really like about Resident Evil is that it has some great looking women which Capcom is known to have some really hot ones so here's My display The Babes of RE :batwink: :smwink:

Image

Here is My RE Super Group with everybody together. Now even though Alice is from the movies, she fits right in there because the others looks so realistic and in fact when Ada & Leon appeared in live action film Retribution together they looked nearly identical to how they were in the games and these figures are really no different :)

Image

As a bonus here's a picture I made for the Actioman message board a long while back that is mostly people from the UK I used to post on. I made this because they had a monthly contest just for fun so I thought I'd enter it and may surprise them. I didn't think I was gong to win but I would have at least been acknowledged about it and really they hardly acknowledged a lot that I posted  Horror stuff began over there in the UK & Europe and they act like they don't know a thing about it much less anything else that's not 1/6 related. They were so dense and they really irked Me with so much more than that and that's why I left and really I don't think they evervappreciated a darn thing I did, the 1/6 scale community isn't the best and quite frankly very, very disappointing to put it mildly :batsmh: :wwshock: :smsmh: So anyway here's My cool picture titled Leon's demise as Wesker looks on :blbat: :blww: :blsm: :blmm: :blhal: :blbaf: :blaq:

Image

NOTE: What you see above is all of the characters in the Hot Toys Resident Evil Series minus the variants. They never make Claire Redfield which really I was hoping that they would but they never did which was such a shame however they did make a lot here, put a lot of effort into making them realistically which in fact this was really Hot Toys' first major series that made them popular. I'm quite grateful that I was able to get them & put all of this together :)

So there's that, I hope you liked this special 12" Resident Evil Hot Toys showcase for this spooky time of Halloween and soon look for a huge RE showcase coming soon in My Video Game Collection Topic :o We'll see what is next for this great 12" Figure Topic of Mine, until then I'll see you around :blbat:

Re: My 1/6 - 12" Figure Collection - G.I. Joe Colton 30th!!!

Postby BrandonDaCollector » Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:17 am

So here's a very special showcase incoming that I've been longing to do for a long while. It's a special Hasbro G.I. Joe showcase but this ain't no ordinary one as this will be the 30th Anniversary of two wonderful figures...

Image

This will be a special double feature from one of THE LAST of the original Real American Hero/RAH line in 1994, 30 years ago this Year that was part of the HALL OF FAME series :!: Your very lucky that I'm doing this because sadly I didn't take care of My G.I. Joe Collection. I have shown some in My Vintage Action Figure Topic. This showcase will focus on G.I.Joe Colton. He was the original leader of the Joes way back it debuted but his name was never revealed until Hasbro revealed it in 1994  What you are about to see is the 12" version and the 3 ¾" version of G.I. Joe Colton  Both was available via as a mail-order offer in 1994 and was NEVER available at retail. The 3 ¾" Colton could be had with Five/5 UPC proof-of-purchases and $1 and the 1/6 Scale G.I. Joseph Colton and Twenty/20 UPC proof-of-purchases and $1.00/One Buck. As many Joes as I was getting back then (I recently shown many Commercials in PB's Topic) I had plenty of POPs for both of'em as I always kept the Blister Cards for the pictures and especially the characters' Bios. I have always loved visuals, stats, bios & info. The web wasn't a thing then when I was a youngster, I didn't it then anyway (now people of all ages must rely on it) , I did My own self-taught things anyway I could looking into magazines, reading the credits in movies etc. :batwink: Here's a look of the classic Order Form Advertising which this was one of THE LAST of the kind, click this in a new tab as you see the 1993 Copyright and that the figures will be available from January 15, 1994 and will end on January 31, 1995 or while Supplies Last :o

Image

So, this was originally celebrating the 30th Anniversary of G.I. Joe - 1964 - 1994, well it's 30 years later so not only is this the 30th Anniversary of this special offer, it's also the 60th Anniversary of G.I. Joe NOW...THINK OF THAT :batshock: :wwshock: :smgasp: So, I was very bad sick in 94, nobody in this world knows the life altering pain & suffering that I went through that changed My life forever until they go through what all the hell that I did at only 13 years young :( So, My Grandma & Mom was getting Me this & that to help Me get through all of the turmoil I was going through and I thank them so much for that. One of the things that My Grandma got Me in 1994 was the G.I. Joe special mail-in/away that you just saw above which is the G.I. Joe special Commemorative 30th Anniversary Replica of the original that came out in 1964. I have misplaced his gun & box but all else is intact and he still looks really nice :)

Image

Here's a close up of his face, look at the scar

Image
Image

I really love his Display Stand. Look at that 1964 - 1994 Plaque :)

Image

Look at his removable cap. He has the standard body from this time which really Hasbro just developed it the previous year in crucial 1993. He's a deuce-mixture of rubber & plastic and is bendable in some areas. They didn't make the articulated hands versions till about 98/99 with the Starting Lineups, see My great "Big Mac" Mark McGwire & "Slammin" Sammy Sosa Set within this great Topic of Mine for that :)

Image

I know people think that these figures are like dolls but since the mid 2000s, these 1/6 Scale figures has really taken a liking to people...adult men mostly but there is some women too. If you know Me and read here faithfully then you know "Captain Toy" Michael Crawford from MWC is the one that truly influenced Me starting with My 12" Universal Monsters way back in 2001 that you can see within this very Topic. Also I belonged to two communities which was Men With Doll & Actionman Ops which Actionman is Hasbro's UK version of G.I. Joe. I left them because I got fed up how they were on them boards not appreciating what I do :x I've posted about that elsewhere here and they have no clue what they lost with Me :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: I never thought of these as dolls, I always thought them as more realistic and I always wanted realism :) 12" scale has become hugely improved over the years and I loved it. Unfortunately, I had to retire from it because of high costs among other reasons which is a darn big shame  Look at his Metal Dog Tag, I have always loved this feature that Hasbro made :)

Image

What your looking at here is a such a classic. He's a very, VERY important piece of G.I. History :)

Image

OK, now here he is, My 3 3/4" Joe mail-in/mail-away that My Grandma got Me at the same time in 1994 along with the previously seen 1/6 scale version above. Now, as you'll notice, he is quite different compared to the Joes of the 80s & 90s. His face is really old school inspired and they outdid their-selves sculpting wise with this guy back then. I find him so classic & vintage looking. His upper body is really bulky and his hands are positioned a bit different as well. His clothing is really nice and I love that he has a sculpted grenade belt and a sculpted firearm on his right leg :batwink:

Image
Image

I couldn't find his M-16 Machine Gun however I gave him this massive Machine Gun

Image
Image

Here is his 1993 Copyright as I always look for it on figures among other things, I always have since I discovered this stuff since I was little and I always say, check those Copyrights & Trademarks on ALL of your collectible regardless of what they are. The "supposed" experts never tell you this. I'm no expert but I am a person that has had many experiences and I hope there's at least one person that is reading and heeds this...they'll be glad that they did :)

Image

Here is a huge comparison of him with his special 12" mail-in counterpart...look at that :o

Image

Gosh, I sure miss those days of mail-ins/mail-away offers that you could get special like that in the 80s and 90s and really so many people out there don't think of this and kids today's have no idea how fun it was to be a child back then unless their elders teach them or they research it for themselves. It would be good to know that :) Kenner & Hasbro were great about that stuff then, the fact of the matter is those times were super fun period when it came to this sort of options. Companies were so much more creative, societies were different, most things were just better and all that jazz :) That's all for now on these special 30th, 1964-1994 mail-in G.I. Joe figures. I hope you liked this showcase. I have one more coming soon of a special 12" G.I. Joe that My Grandma got Me in the Mid-Late 2000s for either Christmas or My Birthday that has a 25th Anniversary this so be alert for that, until then I'll see you around

Re: My 1/6 - 12" Figure Collection - G.I. Joe NAVAJO WINDTAL

Postby BrandonDaCollector » Tue Dec 03, 2024 11:11 am

First of all, I hope you seen My special double showcase of the 1994 Mail Away of the 12" version and the 3 ¾" version of G.I. Joseph Colton, this was/is such a special Commemorative set :) So next up is My special G.I. Joe Navajo Native American Indian Code Breaker/Windtalker :!:

Image

My Grandma got him for Me in the middle to later 2000s, I'm not sure when it was, either for Christmas or My Birthday. I was surprised she got Me him out of one her great catalogs either from Things You Never Knew Existed or Annie's Attic...unfortunately both places are long gone  I was very surprised because he was originally released in on 1999  This very years marks his 25th Anniversary hence why I'm posting this now. I had retired from the Vintage Joes long before this and I was in full force on collecting 1/6 - 12" figures and that is one of the reasons why she got Me him. Keep in mind that she got Me the two you just saw plus others when I was younger. I was also fascinated about the Windtalkers during WWII & the 2002 epic Nicolas Cage film of the same name that was scored by the late great James Horner prior to My present here which is another reason why she got him :) So there is that as well. Here is the info about him. He has the usual 1/6 Joe buck and POA. He includes a Removable Helmet, Radio Backpack, Phone for Reinforcements and a [b]M1 Carbine Gun. He has a special feature, as he is also electronic and says several phases in his Navajo language however, he also translates them like "request air support", "request artillery support", "Suribachi secured" and the like :)

Image

His voice is really loud & crisp as you can hear and understand everything he says in English plus he has a very authentic sounding accent like a real Navajo Indian. His sculpting is very nice as well and he has the usual trademark Joe scar. Of course, he has the US Marines Dog Tag as well, I believe I misplaced his box, if I find it in storage then I will revisit this topic and post that also. OK, so here is the pics. I hope you enjoy him :)

As a special bonus, here's this article that was in one of My Game Informer Magazines from the year of 2000. You just never know what's in them and what your gonna learn :batwink:

Image

That's all for now for these special Anniversaries of G.I. Joe, in time I'll be posting more 12" - 1/6 Scale goodness, until then I'll see you around :scbat:
