Nice Qward setup, man. Kind of wish DC did some Qwardian Weaponers. Maybe a potential custom of yours in the future to flesh that shelf out? Not sure how it would be approached, though. I also recall a cool scene in the Green Lantern animated movie where Sinestro gets the yellow ring from this freaky multi-armed Qwardian Weaponer/blacksmith dude. Also really digging the Black Lantern diorama, too. Maybe you can paint some of that cool mist in the background, too? And if you could get your hands on more severed arms, maybe you could even paint some of them to look like the heroes/villains arms that are rising from the dirt like in the image you have posted there. Just some ideas, it looks great as is! Thanks for sharing this, buddy!!!

I do recall DC Direct making a Qwardian soldier that comes with shield and a lightning bolt; he has a rather strange expression though, haha. I always thought that Qwardian in First Flight was such a cool design too, definitely better than the DC Direct one, even though that is based on actual comic art.

I did draw some mist in the background but it turned out too light once the figures were in place and I did have thoughts of taking a brush over it (it’s currently only drawn in pastel pencils) to bring it out; but in typical “me” fashion, I just rushed the job because I knew I was so close to finishing it jaha!

Are the arms I have in the BL dio hard to see in pictures? Maybe they are I’ll have to revisit that and maybe glue the moss down a bit more so the arms can be seen better…I was wondering that actually.

Custom “Force Shield” Green Lantern Hal Jordan

INGREDIENTS:
- DC Super Friends from Mattel (the icky lime green one). Gave him a full green suited repaint then highlight green drybrush for the force field construct effect, while flying.
