Ok good. Oh yes, it was it sure was. Sorry Siskel & Ebert, I don't agree with you at all...Christmas Vacation is one the best Christmas Movies of ever of all time. that scene in the attic, I thought it was very funny and My Grandma couldn't stop laughing every time she'd watch that movie with Me an dyes that was 1989, one of THE LAST of the classic of the 80s
i saw this on My feed. At least they didn't blast A Christmas Story..amaing seeing the origins like this
and here's this from 1980...it's too cold for Me
The Past isn't a Wilderness of Horrors - We Grow Old Because We Stop Playing - DTA - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - ALWAYS Watch the Skies - Question Everything, FTW! = Me + Various <-->
These were a recurring SNL ski. The joke being that Lindsey Buckingham was always a guest but they always ran out of time before they could get to him. And Jason Sudeikis dancing.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
Yeah really Wow, all of these clips were great...here's this one

All of them were great inclding that Knight Rider. I'm not surprised seeing Sasha Mitchell being comical because he had a different sense of humor but a good one in the Kickboxer movies that made him unique from other fighters like JCVD.
Okay, now not all of these are Christmas but their all from 13News Now in Norfolk, Virginia. The Launch of Nintendo
Christmas in 1988. Look at that K&K Toys I don't now if you had K&K in your neck of the woods but I did in Crestwood Plaza and South & West County. They were a sister store to Kay-Bee Toys. Look how this was I sure recall them toy stores looking like this with all of that Nintendo stuff. Listen to what the woman says
Now, in 1989, 35 years ago this year...more Nintendo. Their asking these kids about Mario Them boys remind Me of Myself & Donnie way back in the day Look at all of the Mario stuff plus a cameo of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom & WWF Wrestlemania. Oh take back back to these good times

Oh yeah, we had KB in the malls. Even up until the mid-2000s I would go to the one on my lunch breaks. It's how I eventualy got sucked into toy collecting again as an adult by seeing those early Marvel Legends figures repeatedly until I finally gave in and bought one.
Oh, I'm going to do Nintendo eventually in the Toy of the Day thread as that was a very memorable Christmas gift I got as a kid. I just need a day when I have a lot of time.

Great trivia and knowing that, there was nothing like stepping into a K-B and/or K&K, really they had a cooler atmosphere than TRU, seemed more homely. That was great to see some historic stuff where your Mom worked at AM&As That sounds good. Yeah, take your time with it, you don't want to mess something up that you love and means to you
Okay, first before I get to the Christmas video I must post this one. Continuing 1989, it was a remarkable year for many things...one thing was the launch of Sega Genesis Yes, 1989 was the year. Here's this video. Watch how the kids react to it. Even President Trump & NIGHT COURT'S HARRY ANDERSON was seen here Now they focus on Altered Beast. I am in the process of getting ready to showcase that great classic soon with others. Watch this
Now here's the Christmas video. You know I love 1990. It just wasn't a great year for movies & wresting and toys. It was also a great year for video games. It just wasn't a fun time but also a crucial year because it was the year that started the Video Game Console War Notice when she says about Nintendo's "Super" system is delayed...she means the SNES Now also, look at the quote in this video... "You don't stop playing because you get old...You get old because you stop Playing". I don't know how often you or anybody else looks at My Signature but I have stood by that quote for a very long time now They also talk about Game Boy among other things here too in this excellent history for Christmas, 1990
I knew of this when it was ongoing but I didn't get in on the competition till 93 when My Grandma rented Me the SNES for Easter in 92 then got it in the late Summer of 92 then finally rented the Sega Genesis in 93 then got it 94. So it was 30 years ago this year when the war began for Me because it was always a debacle who was better and I always thought it like WWF vs. WCW and really, I don't I have ever come to definitive conclusion I have a follow up tomorrow for the SNES

So we were both late to the game, no pun intended there. Great memory there about Space Harrier & Hills There were great clips especailly that SNL.
Okay, now is how it was. In 1990, Nintendo launched their "Super" System...in Japan...it was called Super Famicom
Here's one of the firs comercial's fro the US version called Super Nintendo aka the SNES. In this commercial is a very young Paul "Ant-Man" Rudd
Now, here's this Christmas report about the SNES. You'll see that parents were in an uproar that you had to buy a new system that couldn't be compatible with the NES.
Now, on Launch day in 1991, this father was far from it...look how happy is son is Watch as he plays Super Mario World...still this one of the best & funnest video games.
Now, here's these two brothers...watch as they get their SNES for Christmas, 1992...these were times to be a gamer indeed
I'll have some more for tomorrow
