Well that's good you saw some of the original movies on HBO. That's good your friend liked ST. That one your talking about is First Contact from 96...that is arguably the most important story of them all.
Ah, Planes, Trains and Automobiles. 1987. What a great duo John Candy & Steve Martin was. That film is a good one. I remember My Grandma renting it for Me at Annie Burke's Daughter's Movie Mogul. I saw Candy there on the VHS Box so it was a must see for Me. It's like the only movie that Candy has a mustache I really the like art & pictures of the movie I mean it looks very Christmasy
It i
Asia looked nice too
That was cool that they made a feature about Buffalo. Now check that thumbnail out, that's the The Eads Bridge there in that scene as you see the Gateway Arch...they don't call it that for nothin This historic bridge is a combined road & railway bridge over the Mississippi River connecting the cities of East St. Louis, Illinois St. & Louis, Missouri It's located on the St. Louis riverfront between Laclede's Landing. It's one of the oldest bridges on the planet. It's also the world's first steel-truss bridge is truly an extraordinarily engineering marvel to say the least Here's a classic picture of it during the daytime hours. I have always adored the Mississippi River ever since I was a youngster
And here's a picture of it during the night time hours which Downtown St. Louis is such a gorgeous city and
I hope you liked that little trivia. Well, since we're doing the regular Topics till the end of the month, I have at least one more movie to post that has an Anniversary
Have a very Happy & Safe Thanksgiving whether you celebrate it or not
The Past isn't a Wilderness of Horrors - We Grow Old Because We Stop Playing - DTA - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - ALWAYS Watch the Skies - Question Everything, FTW! = Me + Various <-->
Happy Thanksgiving! We just saw this for the first time during the Macy's Parade. Had no idea it was being made. My son was pretty excited. I tried playing in once with them. I didn't get the appeal, but this looks fun.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
Thanks. I never got into Minecraft. Even if it had come out when I was youngster I don't think I would have then. I'm glad he's into it though
So, here's the final big Anniversary I'm doing for now in this Topic. It's one of My fave movies from one of My fave video game franchises...it's Capcom's STREET FIGHTER
Now listen to this while you look & read My spotlight, I do this sort of thing all the time when I work. This is one of the many beauties of movie scores, do what fits it The score is by Graeme Revell, he's one of the most underrated movie composers of them all. He's so versatile as he can do action, drama and he's also a master of horror.
So while you listen to that wonderful score I've listen to countless times, this has it's 30th Anniversary this year. I couldn't make it to the show but boy when I was able to rent it I was so stoked I mean I was already a big Street Fighter fan for a couple years already and I knew the characters & story plus the movie starred Jean-Claude Van Damme & Raul Julia
JCVD plays Col. Guile. He does a good job here but his big flattop isn't there. Remember the Street Fighter & G.I. Joe commercial I posted the other day You can clearly see how Street Fighter was during this time and how America was gunning for it to be.
This was the late great Raul Julia's last role. The movie has a tribute to him. It was sad. He was the absolute most perfect choice to play the maniacal dictator of Shadaloo...General M. Bison. He brought so much intensity to the character. Again, think of the Joes Street Fighter commercial. This is how Cobra Commander should have been in the 2009 film. IMO this was his absolute greatest role. He looks very much like character in the game
They both have an epic fight in the film
Now there is many other characters from the game too including Sagat played by Wes Studi.
Ryu & Ken are in the game. They are arguably Capcom's most famous characters played by Byron Mann & Damian Chapa,
There's a lot of characters from the game in the film. Here's a group shop of most of the characters...there's E. Honda, Lei Feng, Ken, Balrog, Cammy, Zangeif, Guile, Chun Li, Ryu & T. Hawk Most look good, even Cammy is in the right pose Really, I was surprised that Cammy, Feng & T.Hawk was here because they were new characters, they just made it to Super Street Fighter II for the SNES & SG just before the movie came out
Here's the iconic trailer & TV Spot
Here's General M. Bison's theme, Gosh Graeme Revell did such a great job here
Here's theses fantastic Cues, again, this is one of My most fave scores
Also, here's the epic music when JCVD fights Raul Julia
Bonus #1, here's Street Fighter the Movie for the Sega Saturn & Sony Playstation
Bonus #2, here's this from the Street Fighter Movie Video Game for the Sega Saturn. Comparison of the Street Fighter character from the games compared to the movie. Please note that the live action Akuma was exclusive to this game.
So there's Street Fighter from 94, sometimes it's like gosh, it was that long ago Okay, I got one from 2018 for tomorrow which will be the last of this Topic as we move on to the Christmas Topics in fill force
The Past isn't a Wilderness of Horrors - We Grow Old Because We Stop Playing - DTA - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - ALWAYS Watch the Skies - Question Everything, FTW! = Me + Various <-->
I was never really a big Street Fighter fan. It came out when I'd already stopped doing arcades as much, and button mashing games just weren't my thing. I did see the first movie, though I don't really recall much about it. The music was good, though.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
I never seen 1982's The Toy with the late great Richard Pryor. That looked good. That's how I found out about Street Fighter II, it was the Arcade Game at Crestwood Bowl in early 92 which I have expressed My memories about that previously. I flipped out later that year it was on SNES When My Grandma rented the game for Me over at Schnucks on Iron Street, I said, that's the game I was telling you about that I played at the Bowling Alley The thing is I had played Final Fight in 89 & 90 which is also by Capcom was before SFII and it was in the same universe and I didn't know that till later. I played that at My local dine-in Pizza Hut countless times on Gravois & Morgan Ford...I have a few different versions it for consoles. Darn shame they never made a movie of that one I put the music there like that first because I had done that before but only once. I then saw that you put that clown music for Acid and I was like that's what I did. If you like that way I may do that more often Thanks Packer, I appreciate that...oh yes, the music is wonderful, again, one of My tops faves. Graeme Revell has done a lot including Power Rangers, Chucky films and much more. I'll be featuring more of him in time
Okay, so here's the finale for this Topic until we're done with the Holiday Topics. This movie came out in 2017/2018 depending on where you are. It's called American Renegades
Here's the trailer. Some familiar faces are in it. It was a fun film.
The music was decent. I have the digital album but I could only find the theme on YT. It's by Eric Serra. He's a good French composer. He's done some good ones including 94's The Professional, 95's GoldenEye 007 which is arguably My fave of all of the films and he also did 97's The Fifth Element which also was a terrific score. Here's American Renegade's theme

Okay. I recall seeing previews of Adventureland, that one never interested Me but I know that was one of Eisenberg & Stewart's first big films. Okay, that will do it for Me for this Topic as the Christmas Topics awaits

I recall the previews of Mystery of Alaska in 1999 but I never seen it before. It looked good. I know that the music was by Carter Burwell. Here's these three decent Cues by him
