Welp, I sure do hope the introduction of venom will take us somewhere neat. I'm still going to watch it, it's not gotten any worse, but it hasn't gotten much better to me either. I like that they're continuing to show and build on Gordon's history and character, but the continuation of this Maroni vs Falcone stuff is honestly boring.

Agreed...like how this show is moving, like the more cop angle making it a detective series; I feel the Alfred/Bruce relationship just took that final turn around the corner to where we will be seeing the beginning of Batman grow

I don't know how many are still watching Gotham anymore, I'll admit most of it is just not up to par with, say, The Flash, however I was pretty pleased with tonight's little twist ending. And honestly, I think Bruce's role is getting kind of cheap.

I stopped watching this show and I'm going to stay with ARROW, THE FLASH, and CONSTANTINE for duration of this television season. I find Gotham not as good as the three shows that I've mentioned and sad to say this - I'm not happy with the acting of this show either, in general sense of the word.

What they should have done was end episode one with the death of the Wayne's then flash forward with the typical "5 years" later thing and having Bruce at about the age of 18 come back to Gotham and then having a mysterious vigilante the cops call a "Dark Knight" helping/interfering with police work. I think that would have been much better or something along those lines. I really didn't like this last episode, in reality nobody in the criminal element would go out of their way to save one cop... they would have just killed him and be done with it. When Zaaz or whatever his name was entered the police dept. and told everyone to leave... utter lunacy, you mean to tell me that there is no good cops in Gotham? I could understand a few bad cops but you might as well have Falcone sitting in the Commissioner's office. I am gonna try to keep watching it but we aren't even 1/2 way into the season and it is just a disappointment at this point. I do like the Flash/Constantine, so far they seem like the winners for me out of the new shows.

Oh, it's my least favorite show in the lineup, and yeah, agreed, it's a bit unrealistic on the cops and on how much of a criminal characters are, but I guess I'm stubbornly still waiting out for improvement, and there are moments I must admit that do make it worth it. To me, Bruce's storyline is pretty much already "5 years later" though. He's just a kid, freshly lost his parents, and yet he's already taking everything so seriously and jumping to do so much. I think it's cheap and rushed too early in his life, honestly, and his little story on the side after all the focus on Cobblepot and the mob wars suddenly looks kind of bleak and poorly written. Like, "But wait, there's more! Don't forget Bruce!"

I might be stubborn and ride the rest of the season out even if it doesn't improve, just to see what lies ahead at the end. It's not too bad that I can't watch it, but it does have its disappointing aspects. I think they started this off too early in a city with little promise. If you're going to have a Gotham storyline whilst Bruce is a kid, this probably is it. This is what I'd imagine is the thick of it. Mob wars, random criminals, and the slow rise of notable characters and villains, but years before their actual moment of recognition as interesting super(heroes/villains).

I actually was a little pleased that they introduced Zsasz though. I know oh so little about him, but I did automatically recognize his name as a pre-existing villain in the Batman storyline/universe/comics.

Still watching but almost stopped after Gordon shot the tank of viper gas releasing a massive blast of it into the air, not whiffing any of it, no civilians, pets or stray birds who caught whiff of it... come on, guys. :batsmh:

That uh, that wasn't Black Mask was it? Because if it was, I'm quite disappointed.

I'm just starting to enjoy this show more since the Spirit of the Goat episode.

I wonder if that Tommy brat that Bruce punched is Thomas "Tommy" Elliot.
