Well, I did catch all of the first night though I was also watching night 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs so I can't say I was glued to my laptop for every moment. I thought tonight was just ok. Nothing really blew me away, and I don't think there was much surprising as far as outcomes besides maybe Flair losing, but that could've just been me not really knowing much about Stratton.
Quick thoughts on each match. I wasn't surprised Uso won but I was a bit surprised they had Walter tap (I won't call him Gunther, lol). New Day vs War Raiders didn't really do much for me. The War Raiders used to look like badasses but they looked more like Bugs Bunny villains in those outfits tonight. Fatu vs Knight was ok, don't really get LA Knight so wasn't surprised he lost. Naomi vs Jade wasn't that impressive. Jade still looks like she makes little mistakes. Never was a big Naomi fan either so didn't really care much. I did enjoy the El Grande Americano gimmick. I'm not sure how long they'll run with it but it looks like there's going to be a plethora of Luchadores now so maybe it'll last a longer time. The news of WWE buying AAA made me happy because I won't have to watch all these guys take up time in AEW anymore. I've said before, I don't really care for the Lucha style as it feels too choreographed and unnatural, so let them wrestle on WWE shows, lol. the main event was pretty good. I didn't really know the storyline much heading in, but listening to Busted Open this week several callers predicted Heyman joining Rollins, so it really didn't surprise me. Not sure if it was a surprise for most.
Honestly, this didn't really feel like that great of a night. If Vince were in charge still I would've pushed a conspiracy theory that Vince made a meh card because it was Punk's main event night, but in truth, tomorrow's card just looks much better on paper. If I spent an ungodly amount a money to go to WM for just one night, I'd be disappointed. But I'm jaded and not a regular viewer so results may vary,
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
Day 2 was just meh. I'll admit I missed the first two matches which were supposedly the best of the night and I can believe. The IC match was ok. The AJ-Paul match was a pretty big disappointment. I thought it was going to be something high flying that stole the night but it didn't really do much at all. Joe Hendry? Eh, ok. Becky Lynch was a nice surprise but Lura Valkyria didn't impress me much, thought it was nice to see Becky looking like The Man and not the Scary Sherri look she had a few years ago. The main event was awful. Maybe Cena meant it when he said he was going to ruin wrestling. It actually was decent until the overbooked nonsense with Travis Scott. From then on it just became bad WCW. I neve rthought I'd see the day where I actually wanted Cena to win but I just don't like Cody. I want to. But his WWE (and his AEW honestly) matches all feel too similar, he's like the modern Hulk Hogan good guy. I don't know, neither night really did much for me.

WOW Packer, I'm impressed that you watched as much as you did You summed it up pretty well there.
I'll briefly go through this. Starting with the HOF, the whole weekend broadcast was very enjoyable on Roku because the audio wasn't in-sync with the action I had to alternatively watch the rest on My PS4. Thank goodness I have an alternative.
Now, you said about that your not keeping up with it. I don't really keep up with it either. I just watch the clips on YT & Peacock when it comes to the main roster so I'm just connected to it that way, there's not much else to know when the PPVs occur. Now, when it comes to NXT, I watch that on the CW and I keep up with it that way. NXT is the fun one. I've posted a lot about Tiffany Stratton here in My PLE Topic ever since she made it to the main roster. I find her something else just not in looks but also athletic ability, her triple moonsault is truly unreal.
OK, you didn't mention the WWE Hall of Fame nor NXT Stand and Deliver so I'm going to post the highlights of this as well.
First, here's the WWE HOF. Again, this is the most important show of the whole WM Weekend.
This was fun but kinda lacked the trivial & emotional aspects of prior events. I'm so glad that "The Total Package" Lex Luger who is also a WWE Ambassador, is finally a Hall Famer after all of this time I loved in the video package that they said about him making the shocking appearance in WCW Monday Nitro in 1995, 30 years ago this year
He's here
Michelle & The Undertaker
The Natural Disasters was great but gosh, it's so darn bittersweet without Earthquake
The Immortal Moment with Hart & Austin Still, this should have been Hogan & The Warrior
HBK Shawn Mchael's' induction about HHH.
HHH's speech was over 1 hour, he even said now he knows what it's like being like Mr T. talking about his momma This was so ridicules, like I said, HHH is going to milk this and bask in it as long as he can We could have had two much needed entries instead of a super lengthy speech like that This vid is only a couple of minutes.
WWE WM 41 DAY 1 Saturday - I thought Jade & Naomi looked great. I loved the Storm Introduction with The Weather Channel's very muscular Jim Cantore whom I've known and watched for a very long time
The match El Grande Americano vs. Rey Phoenix (Rey substituted for an injured Rey Mysterio - Phoenix had to get on the card somehow) was really cool.
I didn't think that this was a bad event at all.
WWE WM 41 DAY 2 SUNDAY - I found this one lacking however, the women's triple threat was very good. Ripley & Belair looked really remarkable. The bonus Randy Orton match vs. Kevin Owen had to be changed because OK needs surgery and going to be out for a year. I loved the mystery opponent aspect.
I loved the surprise of Joe Hendy especially since he's the TNA Champ. It's such a shame how people wanted a big TNA & WWE crossover years ago and now t's finally happening and now that it is, people aren't excited about it...you can never make plebians happy I'm disappointed about there is no change to Cena with his look and music. Why are we supposed to know who Travis Scott is When he appeared at the Elimination Chamber I was like...
Since "The Final Boss" didn't appear, the main event seemed really dearthy
Like I said before, no matter how good this WM would be, it would never be as good nor feel like WMIX much less how the good time felt. Next up is WWE BackLash and it's going to be in My hometown of St. Louis
NXT Stand and Deliver was a super good and the best one of the whole WM weekend and it truly the way to go as it's only about 2 hours and a half. The card was very decent and stuff I didn't expected. The main eve was truly incredible
NXT Battleground is next month as well, this is going to be great
The day before will be WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Despite some gripes, I'm grateful that I watched this WM Weekend for the fun & entertainment. More to come later
