Cool Simon Commercial there. Here's this LJN Art from 1987 you may not know as well

I kind of remember those.

Okay, that's good. Trendmasters' Voltron. That was really great. I never had the opportunity to get them. Keep in Mind what O said before. Trendmasters was St. Louis's own big toy company as they were right in Downtown not to far away from Bush Stadium & The Gate Way Arch. They had a fantastic lineup of toys like Kenner did. It was a very bittersweet time when Trendmasters went out and Jakks Pacific took them over :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: Here's this one that I didn't get into either that I regret but gosh War Planets was so darn cool :)

I never seen that Mello Yello feature "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes  That was great and that's something he mentioned Mountain Dew...competition was even then :!:

Okay, I want to introduce you to a St. Louis store that was really recognized by most of it's citizens. It was Hi-Fi Fo-Fum  They always had large signs atop the building of the Hi-Fi Fo-Fum logo mascot "Hideton Finster Forbush Fum" which has been a St.Louis landmark for many decades. Hi-Fi Fo-Fum was an American audio equipment store that was founded in 1955 by the late great Ron Bliffert. Here's this 1983 Hi-Fi Fo-Fum commercial :)

Well, I've mentioned my love-hate relationship with Sectaurs before I believe. When I was a kid, my parents let me take all my toys, MOTU, GI Joe, Transformers, Star Wars, etc, basically just about all my action figures except for super heroes, to a local flea market where I sold them for about $100. This was circa 1986. I'll be honest, they weren't close to mint, probably missing parts and paints, but it was still a lot of toys that were probably worth a lot more even back then. To make matters worse, I used the majority of that money to buy a bunch of Sectaurs figures including the puppets and such. So I'm always had a soft spot for them, but there was also the what-the-hell-was-I-thinking. So when I saw these at Walmart around Christmas, I thought they were cool. But not $25 cool. But today I found some in the clearance aisle, and for $5, yep, I'll bite.

I didn't expect this. That Sectaur commercial was really good. Yes, I remember your Sectaur story. You told Me in your response to My first showcase of them in My Vintage Action Figure Topic. I usually don't disregard people's important stories whether their good or bad, it's not the kind of person that I am. It's a shame about yours but stuff like this makes us who we are. Here's a tiny bit from one of My Coleco showcases ;)

That's cool that you got them for clearance for only $5  Around that price is what figures should be now but I know the story...I heard it a million times from ToyGuru about the resources, this & that and all of that bum-steer. Like I said back then on the Matty Board, it's so amazing what a Billion-dollar+ company can do  :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: I never knew they remade them  While I don't find these new figures are not historical as the vintage ones, they do look superb and are styled like the originals. The blue makes them really pretty, it's darn right beautiful. It's cool that they had Stellara, she looks quite decent. I would keep those Blister Cards. Their part of the price. If you haven't opened them up yet, I would cut them carefully to keep them as collectables and backgrounds for displays. This is what I do especially if there's bios, stories, other figures to collect, company info & such on there. Congrats on finding these and I think you did right :smwink: :wwwink:

They do have eye catching colors. They only made these two and the night vision Dargon. It'd be nice if they at least made one more wave but I don't know that will happen. Still, for $5 that's a steal.

$5 is indeed. I would definitely got them if I had the chance. That's a shame they only made them two. In this day & age they make less now for a variety of reasons. Before, series' used to have a lot of characters to collect. But if that's all they'll make, at least the lot is visually stunning :batwink: :wwwink:

Wow, it was a Perfect Stranger that dumped Pepsi for Coke  What a waste dumping that precious soda out not to mention losing the chance to be hydrated :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh:

Here's this Peacock for the 50th Anniversary of SNL :!:

I have not watched SNL in years but I'm looking forward to this.
