I bought my bowling ball at Kmart in high school. We were just talking about this a few weeks ago. I don't even know where you'd buy a bowling ball these days except maybe a lane. Kmart and Walmart used to sell them and drill the holes for you. But that was a longtime ago.

Wow, good trivia there PB. Oh I recall that with K-Mart. Walmart no, Our closest Walmart didn't arrive to South County till around 96 or so, possibly a little before, all other locations were very far away. The first one I ever went to wa sin 92 an dit was really far out there. I was a big bowler in the 90s. Funny I just posted that about Crestwood Bowl is where I first played Street Fighter II the Arcade Game in 92 Where to get them Well, The Sports Authority was the only other option that I knew but like you said, it was a long time ago...Ours Sports Authority near Crestwood was gone by very late 90s/early 2000s

Local? Never heard of Harrows. But wow, I was looking for a clip from Ziggy's Christmas Gift when I came across this old local store ad. Totally forgot about this place as they went out of business in the 90s.

Yes, I distinctly recall Ziggy and Zon's commercials where they sing, "AT Ziggy and Zon's World...the funs on us."
Sattler's was another big store in the area. They were kind of like a Macy's, but they went out of business before I really recall ever going to one in the early 80s.
