That was Brigitte Neilsen who played Red Sonja  She looked something else there :!: I never seen History of the World but that looked good.

More fighting movies to come but I just saw that Disney+ is having a special documentary about John Williams  My Grandpa PoPo would be going bonkers if he saw this right now :o I'm going to see if I can get this elsewhere. This trailer is great. Listen to what Spielberg and others including Willimas himself say here. I've been saying the same stuff all along here. As Williams says: "Music is enough for a Lifetime but a Lifetime isn't enough for Music" :)

Such a shame that other legends such as Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner & Shirely Walker don't get documentaries like this :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: Williams is one of THE LAST of the greats. Most of'em all gone now, kinda like wrestlers  I grew up listening to Willaims. You can see many his albums that I showcased in My Star Wars Topic. Just the other day Quincy Jones (Sanford and Son) passed away  I posted My Tribute to him in My Composer Topic so please pay your respects there. Listen and appreciate what Willaims has done as he's 94 years old as I type this. I could talk all day about his work and I'm the guy to ask if need be :)

Oh yes it does, it looks phenomenally interesting to say the least  I hope there's going to be a lot of people going to watch that I mean one of the rarest things about movies is seeing the composer much less hearing them in an interview :)

Ah, The Cutting Edge. I watched that with My Grandpa once not to long after it came out on TV. It was one of the many movies of 92.

Okay, now back to fighting. Now I'm going to introduce to you...CYNTHIA ROTHROCK :!:

Image

She was like the Chuck Norris of the women's division if you will and was the pioneer for women's Martial Arts. She was a huge Martial Arts Champion and as legit as they come :!:

Image
Image

Here she is with James Hong aka Lo-Pan from Big Trouble in Little China :wwshock:

Image

Cynthia Rothrock was the inspiration for Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat :o

Image

She was quite great looking and looked hot too :batwink:

Now, here's one of her great movies called Lady Dragon from 1992.

It also stars Australian Martial Artist Ken Norton :wwwink:

I'll post the sequel tomorrow :)

Not familiar with her or the movie. James Hong has been in a bunch of stuff, though.

Gosh, I thought you heard of her  Well, she was tremendous, arguably the best female fighter known. She was huge in the 80s & 90s which these sure were the times but more on that in moment. Ah, Maximum Overdrive. That was a good one. That trailer is a good bonus movie within itself. I love that they put Halloween 3's music in it :blbat: This is actually how I first knew of AC/DC because they had good songs as the soundtrack. That was one of Emilio Estevez' first big films.

Okay, now here is Lady Dragon 2. This came out in 1993 :wwwink:

Image

Along with Cynthia, the movie stars the late great Billy Drago as the villain. He's usually always an eccentric nutcase bad guy that you love to hate and has been in many Chuck Norris films. He has been known to play neutral & horror characters as well.

Image

Also Sam J. "Flash Gordon" Jones is in the film as well :!:

Here's the trailer

More later :)

Now Billy Drago I know. He had a unique face so he was hard not to recognize.

Okay good. Yes, the first movie I saw him in was Invasion USA. Ever since I saw that Chuck Norris movie he was always one of those guys that got My attention. He was so underrated too. I've never seen Darby O'Gill and the Little People but that looked good.

Okay, here's this JCVD movie called Black Eagle from 1988 :!: It was one of his first movies :)

Image

This was a really good one :)

The superb music score was by the late great Terry Plumeri :)

I am not familiar with that movie nor that composer, but they didn't look bad.

Okay. Oh yeah, both were good :) Ah. Ladyhawke, Rutger Hauger, Michelle Pfeiffer & Mattew Broderick, good cast. I liked it but My Grandpa loved that movie, he watched it tons of times when it was on TV. The decent music was by Andrew Powell :)
