Re: Brandon's Journeys: I SAW ALIEN ROMULUS!!!

Postby packerbacker180 » Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:00 pm

It's kind of funny that I'm reading this now. When we took a detour to Charlotte for the NASCAR HOF we had to take a different route than we ever had before because Charlotte is northwest of Myrtle Beach and we normally drive almost straight north to West Virginia. Why this is kind of funny is, once we were nearing Charlotte, my son needed a bathroom break and the next place we passed was a QT. We'd never heard of them before and my son even asked, "What does QT stand for?" and then when we parked we saw the QuikTrip logo. It's just funny because had I looked this over a week ago I would never had heard of them.

That Sonic looked pretty old. We didn't get one around here until the last decade or so, so they don't look like that one. I will probably try to watch Alien Romulus eventually. Maybe even Wolverine vs Deadpool since I've heard good things about both.

Thanks for your reply Packer. Keep that Alien list handy that I wrote to watch them in order :) Yeah, that is funny. I would imagine that everybody in the US knew what QT/QuickTrip is but it still amazes Me how so many people don't have certain stores & businesses in their local  Like I said, I knew them since 1991, the first one I knew was on Morgan Ford & Gravois near My school. We have several of them in Our local areas over the decades. The one you saw has been there around 15 years or so now. I think it's great to see other people's local stuff so I hope when you & others see Mine that you think the same, it just opens more to know :) Oh, it is an old Sonic. I believe it opened in 1999, 25 years ago this year and I'm glad that they didn't remodel it. They did that with White Castle among others on Kingshighway and especially in South County. It seems that everywhere all over that all fast-food places are having their buildings all square. I noticed this several years ago...now most places look so generic and alike so I'm very glad that My local Sonic hasn't changed especially since it's in My old neighborhood that I love :)

I hope you enjoyed My Journey and how the huge theater is and the IMAX feature that I was able to do especially the Arcade Room :) I'll be posting more in time, just keep a track of this Topic, I got a lot of stuff to show in the near future :D

Re: Brandon's Journeys: BURGER KING!!!

Postby BrandonDaCollector » Wed Oct 23, 2024 11:07 am

So now here's is My next Journey. My Mom wanted to go to Burger King a little while back on Whopper Wednesday which is an App Special which We always try to get the best deals I mean in this day & age you got to. So this is the same location that We went to for My Birthday in 2023. Now them pictures that I showed were from various places and at daytime. These you are about to see are from Me and at nighttime :!: Here's the Loughborough Commons Entry Signs :)

Image

There's the entrance. There's a Little Cesar's, China Wok & Qdoba (Jack in the Box's Mexican Restaurant) and more there.

Image

Here's Great Southern Bank.

Image

Next door to it is Burger King :o This is such a great location that opened in late 2008. Me & My Mom has been here countless times over the years and I'm grateful for ever millisecond of it :)

Image
Image

Of course since the PlanDemic, things have changed such as their hours like them no longer being open 24 Hours as they close at 1 AM now  :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh:

Image

So now I'm going to take you through the plaza. Here's Crown Vision & AT&T. The building that AT&T was originally the St. Louis Bread Company aka Panera Bread

Image

Now here is Schnucks. After they tore down the old one in the mid 2000s as I have deeply expressed before, it was never the same for Us  All of that history that Me & Grandma had there getting Our Groceries, renting the movies & video games at the Video Club, getting all of My Belt Buckles out the Vending Machines that I greatly showcased in My Odds & Ends and so many other things We did there was all gone :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: I'm probably one of the few people in My region that thinks about this and if that's so, that is so pathetic  My Grandma disliked the new one so much We only shopped there like twice and that was it...the rest was elswhere :like the location on Hampton & Gravois roll: So here's a look at the newer Schnucks :)

Image
Image

Now here's Highway 55 to go to South County. This Parking Lot that you see here is actually where the old Schnucks was :o

Image
Image

Here's Auto Zone & Firestone.

Image
Image

Okay, Mom's getting ready to pull out of the BK Drive Thru

Image

There's Our wonderful BK Food Bag on My lap and boy it's hot and smells good :!:

Image

So now We're home and it's time check out those gorgeous BK Goodies :batwink:

Image

Since We could only get a little bit, My Mom got herself a Whopper & Small Fries and I got a Double Bacon Cheeseburger & Medium Fries with condiments of Ketchup & Mustard which is a must especially on Burger King Burgers :)

Image

Here's Mom's Order...

Image

and here's Mine :) As you see it's much smaller than the Whopper.

Image

So here's what My Double Bacon Cheeseburger looks like out of it's Wrapper, boy that looks delicious :batwink: There's a Pickle too. Even though there's Ketchup & Mustard on there, with BK, it's even better with more so...

Image

here's 2 Heinz Ketchup & Mustard Packets. Like I said before, I'm a sauce freak and at times I like to experiment with My food I mean you never know what could be your new fave until you try it. Unlike most People, food just isn't food to Me especially this type. I've never been one of those people like you see on TV that buys an expensive meal and talking about this & that "not even really tasting nor enjoying what they have" :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: If you've realized how special this kind is since 2020 then you'll want to savior every single bite and have as much as possible that you can afford. I've always loved this Fast Food and with today's inflation, it's a really delicacy which really never was considered that way at a BK and the like because now their prices are like a fancy restaurant's now which don't get Me started about them :x Also, notice that Heinz is now Kraft-Heinz. I've always paid attention to who makes what. If you've faithfully read My Showcases then you know I have done this stuff since I was a youngster. While other people do other things or nothing like this, I was doing that, I'd look on Action Figure Blister Cards, Cereal Boxes, Magazines and especially the Credits in Movies for Copyrights, Trademarks and as much Information I could find....that's how I learned things that they don't teach you in School and years & years before the Internet was ever a thing, I taught My own-self this. I've never met anybody outside of the Family in person or online that's done this and in fact, My Mom asks Me all the time who makes this & who owns that and most of the time I can give here the answer because I simply just know :)

Image

So now I opened the Packets and out them on My Burger and now it's even better...look at that yummy beauty :)

Image

So here's My Mom's Whopper. Like I said, this was Whopper Wednesday for $4.00 on the App, regular prices without the App which is way higher. The App Discounts is the way to go. Look how good this looks :)

Image

So, My Mom felt a little sorry for Me because of how small My Double Bacon Cheeseburger was. She knows I could eat way more than that which is true, I could 3 of them easy I mean with food that tastes this good, you want a lot of it so you can be full & satisfied. So she said to Me, how about you have half of my Whopper and I was like really :?: You eat it, it's your's, you gotta eat too but she was persistent about it so before she took a bite she cut it in half so I never pass up a good opportunity for anything so here's My half of this very good Whopper :)

Image

So there's My little Burger King Journey. Now as much as I loved this, I really like Jack in the Box a bit more. They have better prices, their open 24 Hours, serves Breakfast all day & night and of course they have Tacos which is arguably My big reason why I want JITB. BK once in a while has Tacos but their not available all the time nor do they taste as good IMO. Sonic is also great as you seen in My previous Journey and I place them above BK as well. Don't get Me wrong, BK taste great but I just feel you get more with the other two. Now if this was 1990 or 2008, it would be a bit different because I was craving them then. If you have a BK near you and time & money isn't an issue I would go there for their great taste as soon as possible :)

SPECIAL EDIT: Today is Halloween...

Re: Brandon's Journeys: HALLOWEEN NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIAL!!!

Postby BrandonDaCollector » Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:06 am

First off, don't forget to see My little great fun Journey to Burger King while back. Okay, I know I'm way behind on things especially My Showcases. I've had issues of this & that I'd rather not discuss. Just be thankful that I'm doing this as I'm one of the very last plebeians that does what I do because I sure am :!: Now, even though Thanksgiving has happen & Black Friday is just about done & dusted however Cyber Monday will be upon us, I love Halloweenthankmas as I've said in My Horror Topic so it really doesn't matter for a horror freak like Myself...what does matter is as long as you do you it...that's what matters...I've always been a person like that. Just think back in the old great fun days of wrestling, it was Halloween 24/7 with The Undertaker, Papa Shango, The Brood among others. So, here's a very special event :)

This is on Leona, a street not too far from where I live and I've known for over thirty years. Here's the street sign :)

Image

The neighborhood of Leona is known for its massive & superb Halloween Decorations for many, many years. These people that live here work their booties off every year. They usually start in mid-late September and it's usually never disappointing and this year wasn't either. They do the same for other Holidays including Christmas :scbat: :scww: :scbat: Now most of these pictures I took was before Halloween late at night (I love to do things later during the nocturnal hours) so I could get them good without people getting in My way. These were the first ones that was decorated.

Image
Image
Image

Now here's when it was getting in full force come Mid October, now check this :batwink:

Image
Image
Image
Image

Now here's The Leona Laboratory, I flipped out about this because this is the first that I know that they did this, look how cool & clever was :blaq:

ImageImage
Image

Here's these :blmm:

Image
ImageImage

Look at this Awesome Dragon & cute stuff :blsm:

Image

Okay, now we're going a bit further up the street which these decorations are even more exciting. Check out this Spider on the side of this house...

Image

they have a huge Skeleton there and I wanted to make sure that I got their huge JACK SKELLINGTON...look at that :o

Image

Now even further down Leona, this was My fave house of all, these people were extremely creative. I haven't seen one this good since My Grandpa PoPo used to decorate

Image

They made this large custom Spider, now this took work :batshock: :wwshock: :smgasp:

Image

Her name is ARAGOG and they even wrote a story about her...LOOK AT THIS :!:

Image

They had these custom made WANTED SIGHNS...this something like My Grandpa would do which I love this ;)

Image
Image

When it was Halloween there was a Grimm Reaper there. A person that lives there dressed as him I mean he was on stilts about 9 feet l, he kinda looked like one the one seen in 1988's SCroodged. There was a ton of kids there and people taking pics him. So A bit further down I noticed this really cool Allosaurus/classic style T-Rex Witch...have a gander at that :blww:

Image

Okay, now fast forward to HALLOWEEN NIGHT. Me & My Mom both walked to Leona on this very busy night. It was the first time We did this since the P!anDemic. We sat on the steps of Woener School across the street witnessing all of the fun and the people at the houses handing out candy, one was dressed as Uncle Fester. Here's a pic of the big school during My Nocturnal Activities :batwink:

Image

It was wonderful seeing all of these Trick or Treaters. Most were older from their twenties but there was kids. We saw Dinosaurs & Grey Aliens. There was a really great Michael Myers there. I saw no Jason, Freddy or Leatherface which is like...why :? Many times I'm disappointed because people are dressed up as the same thing as Peter Pan & Tinker Bell and stuff that's been done so many times, seems like everybody always wants to be the same things and never wants to be different...I've always wanted to see somebody as Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious and Doctor Von Doom but people rather be the same stuff :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smwink: There was some TMNT, I noticed Michelangelo right away and there was a little boy dressed up a Ninja and he was cool because he has the outfit, Katana and even a Sai, now that was rad :!: Now, I did see some good looking babes which is something I always look for on this spooky night, heck just about any night for that matter :batwink: I saw this gal, I think she was a Black Latina (I like all kinds of women) as she was lighter skinned, she was this Dominatrix Executioner :batshock: :smgasp: Boy she wasn't afraid to show off her body as her outfit was quite revealing which her physique was nice. Her boobs were kinda large or at least noticeable and her booty looked nice I mean she revealed a lot of skin...I sure didn't expect to see her but a darn shame I couldn't look at her anymore as she was walking away nor take a pic. As We were leaving, I saw this school girl-like babe, I'm really not sure what she was supposed to be, but she looked great too as she was wearing this very short skirt, and you could see the cheeks of her booty pretty well but I only saw her for a few seconds :smwink: I'm very glad to know & see that women still want to look hot because it seems young men could careless now which I thought that would never happen :batsmh: :wwsmh: :smsmh: If I saw these babes when I was a teenager I would have been all over them asking them out & so forth, believe you Me  As I said before, St. Louis has some really good looking women, just ask Cheech & Chong  Now I didn't take pics of most of this. I didn't want to because of how people are and the way society is so flaky now, I didn't want to take the chance  So here's this lonely pic I took. You can see the houses, the Trick or Treaters and the cars that were parked there. The cars were parked there for blocks...that's how many people visits Leona Street on the spooky night that is known as Halloween aka All Hallows Eve :o

Image

So, as a last resort, I wanted to walk down Concordia because there was a house there that always decorated big time. My Grandpa would go the long way to take Me to school just to see this house when I was a youngster :) Well, to My major, major disappoint, they tore down that house :batshock: :wwshock: :smgasp: Now as I walked back, I saw this really cool Sea Monster/Sea Dragon/Sea Serpent/Lake Monster on theses people's lawn. I'm not sure if it was for Halloween or a just a regular decoration I mean they did have Pumpkins there as well. Here it is :o

Image

I told My Mom, all of this makes Me want to come out of retirement and dress up as Jason again so maybe next year, I will be one of those people on Leona :blaq: So there's that, I finally posted My Neighborhood Halloween Journey. I'm not done with Leona as there's more I pics of other great things and some is really something else. I also have more Journeys elsewhere including stores to so be alert for them. Until the next one, I'll see you around
