I didn't think you or anybody here did. Yes it is very interesting. More to come soon

Here's another one that I really like and I have been thinking about it heavily over time, really I think of it a lot. I'm going to showcase both Cat People movies Like Cult of the Cobra, it about shapeshifting people from ancient times. These are Felines this time which there is many myths & legends about this. Like I said before, there is truth in everyone and every movie tells you a version of truth in a twisted way. It's up to the viewer to realize that for them themselves. So first here is the original classic from 1942 with this marvelous poster
I'm going to let these two trailers do the storytelling
These were some moments here
Now here's the remake of Cat People. It came out in 1982, 42 years ago this year. I was only 1 year young then. I always think about this one because of many reasons, a big reason is because of the music. Just about any movie I think about it, the music always, ALWAYS comes first. It's what makes the movie what it is plus it gives you more to love about that the movie and a whole lot more which I will get to that in a moment Here's the iconic poster
It has the same type of story as the original but like all remakes, many things are different. Like it's predecessor, it has great scenes of Big Cats and overall is tremendous horror film with great visuals
It stars Nastassja Kinski whom was a hot new actress at the time. She plays Irena, the sister of Paul.
Malcolm McDowell whom was already a veteran. He plays Paul, the brother of Irena.
The late great John Heard He plays Oliver the Zoo Keeper.
and also Annette O'Toole whom I always found sweet & hot She plays Alice the Zoo Keeper.
Here's the well known trailer
Now here's the big fun part of the movie which is the musical score. My Grandma really liked the film but she adored the music. She got Me into it when I got mature since this was a sexual movie. I already knew the composer which was Giorgio Moroder who did 1984's The Neverending Story in 1984 and also 1983's Scarface. We used to listen to it all the time and quite frankly it's one of My most underrated faves. There's other reasons why I like this too. I'm probably the only one here that has a connection to this. Now I'm not putting this in the Scary Tunes Topic right now. Please take the time to listen to this This music will be exclusive here for the time being. First is the iconic song Putting Out The Fire by the late great David Bowie. This was the first time I heard one of his songs. This is still one of the best songs of the entire decade of the 1980s not to mention one of the neatest songs ever
Here's his instrumental version titled The Myth. As a fan of myths & legends, this was quite big for Me back in the day and you just see wondrous mystery of the story.
Here's the The Autopsy which is really spooky. This type of sound is what made 80s Horror so great and made it so good to listen to 80s Horror
Here is Paul's Theme. If you don't know Giorgio Moroder then think back on Scarface & The Neverending Story. This Cue should really remind you of them because it's very similar.
Now this is My fave Cue of the whole super short, 10 Track Album which is Irena's Theme. This is placed in My most fave Cues of ever of all-time. Listen to this, I just love the shear horrific joy it has
Here's The Leopard Tree
Now check this SPECIAL BONUS In 1989, 35 years ago this year, the very first WCW Halloween Havoc PPV happen. It was a great event and still is one of the best IMO. WCW always had a great theme for their events. When I first heard this I'm like holy cow, that music sounds like CAT PEOPLE The late great Kevin Sullivan used this music for a while as his entrance theme, I still see him running in the forest to his Father "The Master" to form The Dungeon of Doom in the great year of 1995. Now I hope you listen to the music I provided because now it's time to compare that with this
So that will do it for this special double feature of Cat People...
I hope you liked it and I shall see what is next for My Horror Topic

Another one I've seen parts of but not the whole thing. The 80s version, that is. I've come across it a few times on TV over the years but never saw it all. Those themes definitely sounded like the early 80s.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
Thanks PB I see. if you have the chance to see the original do so. Also, if you have the opportunity to see the 82 version, see if you can watch the whole thing especially the beginning of it. Oh yes, you sure can, that's one of the reasons why they're so great. I'm contemplating what's next here for My Horror Topic

So before I get to some classics, in this update I wanted to post about this new show on Peacock. I have posted a lot of content of Peacock before with My great Horror Topic before. This aired last week and it's called TEACUP
It's a very mysterious Horror series
It had a teaser at the 2024 SDCC earlier this year
Here's this from James Wan.
Here's this shocking recent teaser
Me & My Mom have watched all four episodes so far. In fact We re-watched the first 2 because their so short at only 30 minutes each and We didn't know what the heck was going on. When We watched them the second time then We caught on by time We saw the third & forth ones. There's only 8 episodes all together (which is a trend that has been going going on) and this series will have it's climax on HALLOWEEN NIGHT
The original novel was called Stinger by Robert R. McCammon that came out in 2015...
The show is called Teacup. The mother catches a Wasp with "a Stinger" in "the Teacup" for her scared son
This follows The Chenoworth Family and their friends in rural Georgia. Their Animals are acting weird and then they realize that they are under a mysterious threat of unknown origin with no power to reach help
It stars Yvonne Strahovski who is very good with a fine body. She strongly reminds My of Moon Bloodgood
Boris McGiver (Person of interest) & Scott Speedman (Underworld Franchise) is the co-stars and they are good.
Kathy Baker (Mr. Frost) is always good and she is no different here
I like that the boy reveals to the daughter that he's been in-love with her since the Second Grade...now that's what I'm talking about and what I like to hear
This show's first 2 episodes are so mysterious and very well done. It had some really shocking, unexpected moments that actually made Me cringe and that's not easy to do to a Horror Freak like Myself By time you see the third one you'll be like HOLY CRAP
DON'T CROSS THE LINE AND DON'T TRUST ANYONE
Here's the super spooky trailer
Now like I said, it has only 4 episodes left, 2 this Thursday and 2 next Thursday which is Halloween which is a clever move that it does on that spooky day. Now I made this Logo as well as the one above, when you see the show and when you see this in the very brief Intro, you'll have no idea what it is nor what it means...as the show goes on...YOU WILL
I'm thankful that I have Peacock. Even though they have removed the whole NXT Library since the move to the CW and come January they're going to remove the entire 30 year + run of WWF/WWE Monday Night Raw which is so stupid by the way when they move to Netflix and the small price hike, Peacock is like THE coolest streaming service because they have so much cool stuff. That's all for now, I'm going to post a classic double feature soon be alert for that

I've seen commercials for that during Sunday Night football the last few weeks and I was curious what the title had to do with the show. It certainly did look like a mystery. The only horror type show we've been following has been From. Season 3 just started a few weeks ago but like you said, it's only 8 episodes or so per season. It's kind of like Lost meets The Village meets The Mist. It's pretty good.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
I never watched From since it's on Cable. I think I've seen thumbnails and/or ads of in on YT but never got involed with it. It looks pretty good there. Yeah, they've really been having that trend of only 8. It makes a season so short especially if you watch two episodes a night. The House of the Dragon is an example. My Mom really likes that and We watched both seasons which didn't last long at only 8 episodes each, the last episode was so bittersweet. Ramin Djawdi's score is very good just like his GOT score. On Amazon Prime, Me & My Mom watch some shows like Wheel of Time but Our big fave is The Rings of Power. We had to wait two years for it to be back with a second season. We watched the whole first season over again not only it refeshify but also because it's a dynamic show very similar like the movies and the music is so epic by Bear McCreary. 8 episodes just isn't enough for people who watch the heck out of them. Everything is supposed be so much more now but seems so much less to Me when it comes to stuff like this.
Thanks for your reply & entry Packer, very soon I'm going to have a double feature and more in time

Okay, here's a follow up on TEACUP. Well as I said in My introduction of the series, that it was for 8 episodes and that the season finale would be on Halloween which was a very apropos day Well, It has come & gone believe it or not. Me & Mom were like what the heck when it ended
There was a lot more revealed and some other surprising moments but We both felt they wasted a lot of time with the slow moving scenes of conversations & kissing when more of the actual story & origins could have been seen & told which they always gotta do that stuff
Now, if you haven't seen the series yet then DO NOT click the shocking spoiler below if you want to be completely surprised when you see the series for yourself otherwise continue at your own risk
Spoiler:
Peacock had this clip available so I thought it would be absolutely terrifying to put it here When Me & My Mom first saw this scene in the second episode, We were shocked I mean We didn't expect this at all and as I said about it before, We watched the first two episodes over again before they aired the third & fourth ones. Honestly, this is one of the horrifying scenes I've seen in a very, very long time. Only the scenes in 1989's The Fly II can compare to this IMO and I'm saying that because this seriously reminded Me of those superb horror scenes in that great sequel Be warned that when you watch this be prepared to be shocked because this is WHAT HAPPENS WHEN you CROSS THE LINE
Now the Eighth & Final Episode had a major cliffhanger, We are both hoping they green-light a second season so all know of what the Sam "Freggin" Heck is going on here
So that's that about Teacup. I'm going to continue My Horror Topic as long as possible so when you see a new reply by Me, that most likely means a new great entry has been entered so be alert for this as well as My Kaiju & Cryptozoology Topics as well, some great stuff is coming soon
