Wingnut's collection

Postby wingnut1969 » Thu Jun 10, 2021 4:40 pm

OK I deleted the old pics of my collection in favor of new pics of my collection - as it stands right now, of course I'm always looking for growth - and this thread. So, keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times and hold on tight it's gonna be a long ride!

My new Aquaman display featuring my new Aqualad.

Also an addition to the movie characters shelf as I found a Mary - and only Mary - at 5 Below and since Mattel skimped heavily on SHAZAM! figures only making Cap and "Sivana" I wanted to do some additions in the way of the SHAZAM! Family.

I dug out my Superman figure from the original Batman line that kicked off the long journey through DC Super Heroes, DC Universe Classics, Signature Series(Club Infinite Earths) and Multiverse. It was a decent effort and hit enough high points unlike some other early offerings. Haven't made my mind if it will stay but for the moment it's included.

Also a new look for my Freedom Fighters and L.E.G.I.O.N. shelf with the addition of Vril Dox.

Very cool, Wingnut. Reminds me that I have to crack open my last wave of DC figures from Mattel.

Your DC collection is insane Wingnut :batshock: This is one of the best collections I have ever seen, great stuff

Hal (Green Lantern) Jordan Movie Master has entered the collection.

OK. I gotta say, I wanted this figure to go as my GL on my movie figures shelf as my movie figures Justice League"s Green Lantern. Never had one, or any of them, before. I can now say with absolute certainty and zero hyperbole why these figures were so undesirable when they came out. The range of motion in the joints is virtually nonexistent. They are too small compared to the Multiverse movie figures. I cannot get him to hold his lantern, which was a HUGE buying point for me. Add to that the back of the box boasts that Parallax is the largest CNC with 14 collectible pieces - Parallax - the yellow dust cloud. NOBODY was going to shell out for 14 of these crappy figures. I don't remember there being 14 individual figures for this. Maybe there was and that's just how much I paid attention. Anyway, through no fault of the sellers, I was really disappointed with this figure.

Brandon: Thanks a ton man. I have worked hard on building this collection through acquisitions and customizing. There are always holes that need to be filled.

Hey wingnut! Thanks for posting these pics! Yeah, it's a real shame that the figures sucked so badly. The movie wasn't great, either, and I feel like the one good thing that came out of it might have been the extra Lantern figures we got in the actual DCUC style but now that I think about it, it was probably Blackest Night that got us the Lantern figures and all the movie did was force that G'Hu figure on us that I doubt anybody really wanted in the Green Lantern wave of DC Universe Classics. And that Parallax figure looks like the factory was cleaning out the plastic extruder and decided to make a mold out of what came out. :batsmh:

I added my Ace from the SA Batman collections that DCD did. I honestly don't know why I hadn't added him before but here you go. Not much action to this action figure. His head is the only thing that moves.
