Good bye, Mr. West. TV's Batman, I was blessed to meet you briefly last year. You will be missed! RIP.

I posted a thread literally 1 minute before you, so I win. I deleted it, so you win.
Adam West died late Friday after battling leukemia. He was 88. Aw, man, this one really hits me. Besides SuperFriends, Batman '66 was my first real exposure to superheroes on TV. And much later he was one of my favorite characters on the Family Guy when it used to be funny.
Here's the commercial that helped Adam West get the Batman gig:
Rest easy, ol' chum.

I've met Adam West four times in my life and gotten his autograph on two of these occasions with him and he's one of the nicest celebrities that I've ever met. He was kind, friendly, and enjoyed spending times with fans from all walks of life and sharing his times as the Caped Crusader for three seasons of Batman.
Anyway, I also met him and Burt Ward once and they were great together and that's was one of my fondest memories of them sharing about their experiences as well.
One of my favorite pictures of him in full costume.
The Helmet of Fate, Amulet of Anubis, and the Cloak of Destiny Awaits You!
Doctor Fate and Fate of the World ... are the same person ... the reason for two accounts is to add more photographs to this forum.
I just watched Lego Batman with my kids last night and there were so many little callbacks to '66 that it made me smile. Adam West was one of the few people who could've read from a phone book and make you laugh. His comedic timing was amazing.

Thanks for the shares, guys. That's amazing you got to meet Adam West so many times, Doc. It was a real treat and fortuitous for his fans that he made it out to the cons for his final convention tours before he past on. Awesome guy.
