Thanks, Doc.

BTW, so many Doctors on this site, should start asking for medical advice.

Chimps Ahoy! (Or How I Learned to Stop Monkeying Around)

Postby packerbacker180 » Mon Jun 22, 2015 9:53 am

Been working on and off on this little guy since before Christmas. Basically sliced up a Schleich chimpanzee figure and used screws to give him five whopping POAs (suck it Mattel Mxy!). He kind of brings back all sorts of fun childhood Star Wars figure memories in look and feel. I couldn't make Nightmaster and Nightshade without another Shadowpact member. Now I just need to knock off Ragman and Enchantress.

Cute Detective Chimp - Packerbacker.
The Helmet of Fate, Amulet of Anubis, and the Cloak of Destiny Awaits You!

Doctor Fate and Fate of the World ... are the same person ... the reason for two accounts is to add more photographs to this forum.

It's a terrific representation of Detective Chimp but I'm even more impressed that you actually cut up a static figure and created the POAs yourself.

Hey, thanks guys. I think he turned out well for trying something like this. In hindsight maybe I should've tried turning the elbow so he could hold stuff in front of him. Maybe next time.

Love the Detective Chimp figure, Packer! Great work! I have wanted a Detective Chimp figure ever since he was in an episode of Batman the Brave and and the Bold animated TV show. Another figure that Mattel missed out on producing,....typical!
Damn, I miss that TV show. It was fun to watch every week, plus you learned alot about the history of the DC Universe and the characters in it.

Thanks, Wally. I never got too much into Brave and the Bold while it was on but my kids have one of the seasons and I've come to appreciate it more now.
