HectorHall Assasins and Golden Age goodness pg55

Speed Demon was a character that made an appearance early in Wally's run as the Flash. His name was Jerry McGee, he experimented on himself with steroid therapy to give himself speed. Of course the treatments resulted in an unstable personality....and Wally wound up sleeping with his estranged wife Tina.
I used a Jemm figure, I liked the slightly warped physiology. The goggles were made from shrink dinks.

I made a Dan Garret Blue Beetle from a Copperhead figure. I used a peacock blue to paint the figure and then drybrushed a lighter shade over the scales to help bring out the details. His head is from a Golden Pharaoh with a little sculpting

It's a damn shame Mattel didn't make a lot of characters like these... I would have bought them. But at least we got Jay Garrick, thank god for small favors hehe.

Thanks Webs, you are right. If they never got around to Jay that would have been a serious crime.
I might have even gone to Matty's site and posted a cranky rant only to be properly scolded by others

I was really jacked up for the mid-season finale to the Flash. I felt like I needed a Flash related post to celebrate, but I did not anything recent to showcase. There was a custom that I have not featured yet and I figured this would be a great excuse to do a Flashtacular group shot.
This is the Barry Allen Black Flash from the rebirth storyline. I repainted a Flash and added the lightning effects by cutting out the packaging plastic and going over it with a light coat of red.
