Happy Halloween, everyone. Forgot to say that earlier. Great decorations, packer!! That's a seriously suped up horror display. What did everyone do for Halloween, if anything? :blww: Scary movies with the roommates and a few horror specials, snacks, etc. Nothing particularly eventful. :wwlol:

Happy Halloween, you guys. I went to a last minute Halloween party that was really not all that Halloweeny. It was more of a reunion with old school chums who I hadn't seen for a long time which made for a somewhat awkward but still fun and interesting Halloween. :blbat:

The Helmet of Fate, Amulet of Anubis, and the Cloak of Destiny Awaits You!

Doctor Fate and Fate of the World ... are the same person ... the reason for two accounts is to add more photographs to this forum.

One more picture. My 4 year old son came back early from Trick or Treating because he was cold and tired, AND because he wanted to hide and scare kids with the skull fogger.

*sniff sniff* I've never been more proud! :bdvbang:

Awesome setup, PB! I love when people really make their house an experience on Halloween. We used to have a house like that in my neighborhood when I was a kid, and actually getting to the door to get candy was a badge of honor.

My girlfriend and I went to Boston to see Jeffrey Combs (Dr. Herbert West in Re-Animator; The Question on JLU) play Edgar Allan Poe in the one-man show Nevermore. Wonderful performance; if you get a chance, check out the Masters of Horror episode "The Black Cat," where he also plays Poe. He channels Poe wonderfully, with fervor and humor and insight.

Afterward, we watched The Witches (1990; based on the Roald Dahl book), which is a remarkably freaky film for a kids' movie. Great Henson Shop effects and makeup, really awesome cast (including Jane Horrocks, who I adore). Cool flick.

Here's the list of the 31 horror flicks I watched for the first time in October...
Blacula
Blue Monkey
Crocodile (1979)
Dead Kids (a.k.a. Strange Behavior)
Dementia 13
Don’t Answer the Phone
Don’t Torture a Duckling
Doom Asylum
Frankenstein’s Army
Genocide
Ghost Town
Girly
The House Where Evil Dwells
Island Claws
Lady Frankenstein
Lady in White
Messiah of Evil
Mirror Mirror (1990)
Motivational Growth
Night of the Demons (2009)
Night of the Lepus
Paperhouse
Prophecy
Satan’s Blade
Scanners
Scream Blacula Scream
Trick ‘r Treat
The Unholy
The Vagrant
What’s the Matter with Helen?
The Witches (1990)

Can't say I've seen many of those. Saw some of the Blacula films maybe 20 years ago. I know I've seen Scanners. That Trick 'r Treat was s surprisingly good movie.

Packerbacker, that's adorable!

Secondwhiteline, that's quite an experience you had! I may be a little bit jealous. On the closest note, I did a 31 movie list of scary movies but man I don't think I've ever seen any of those.

I have seen half of those films that SWL posted earlier. I'm a confessed movie junkie and in my retirement - I watch about 20-25 movies a week.

Here's a quick guide to the movies on that list...
Definitely See: Blacula
Dead Kids (a.k.a. Strange Behavior)
Genocide
Mirror Mirror (1990)
Motivational Growth
Paperhouse
Scream Blacula Scream
Trick ‘r Treat
What’s the Matter with Helen?
The Witches (1990)

Don't Go Crazy, But Worth a Look: Blue Monkey
Dementia 13
Don’t Torture a Duckling
Ghost Town
Girly
Lady Frankenstein
Lady in White
Night of the Demons (2009)
Prophecy
Scanners - Everyone's seen the best part, and it's near the start of the movie.
The Vagrant

Hilarious: Crocodile (1979)
Island Claws
Night of the Lepus

Avoid: Don’t Answer the Phone
Doom Asylum
Frankenstein’s Army - A good concept, but done as a found footage movie. Troll Hunter was the only time that worked.
The House Where Evil Dwells - But look up the Crab Attack scene on YouTube.
Messiah of Evil - Look up the two short scenes scenes with Elisha Cook, though.
Satan’s Blade
The Unholy - A couple interesting scenes, but mostly dull.
