Man, I guess I bought more than one gimp suit Doomsday for nothing. Oh well, still great news and can't say I didn't suspect this.

We'd of course have loved to do this for the sub or Sdcc but alas the sub did not hit the numbers we needed!
Well since this image has gone pretty much viral and someone posted it on the Matty fourms they had to give BS answer. Not only would they not spend the money on a could have happened packaging, that also appears to be a more production level Doomsday figure in the box verses the Prototype that was shown at the Cons.

Ugh... I hope they release this. It would make me pretty happy.

I laugh so hard at this. One, I can't believe that the communication level at Mattel between Scott, the Retail Team, and their DC contact is and has been so bad for so many years that it seems NO ONE know what the hell they are releasing.
Two, the whole speech Scott gave about how the Unleashed DD wouldn't be tooled because the sub numbers fell through. I don't know much about making toys on a retail level, but if there is a real life version of the figure, doesn't it mean that it has been tooled?
