DC Club Infinite Earths Ra's al Ghul

So I was super excited about this guy until I saw his pics at SDCC... I think he still has the potential to be a good figure but it'll take some work I think. I'm not too steady with a brush but it shouldn't be too hard to put the white in his hair. :batwink:

So, Ra's is on his way...

Just a little bit ahead, but is anyone excited for Mattel's "Head of the Demon"?

When he was first announced without any pics, I was happy as a monkey with a peanut machine...then I saw the production pic and my joy fell sharply.

I'm REALLY hoping he looks better than originally pictured but not holding my breath; I'd die otherwise and never be able to see him...need Lazarus Pit.

Anyone else?

Looks like he used the Lazarus Pit one too many times, it took the grey right out of his wing tips. :batrasp: I might do a forearm swap with a cheap suited figure so I can give him some cuffs.

That's a good idea! It's a shame the 4H couldn't sculpt his head like the DC Direct one...I'm going to shave his eyebrows and add some age too

DC Direct managed to make (from what I remember) 4 decent to awesome looking Ra's heads and Mattel with 4H couldn't make one... That's just so weird. Also the whole figure looks weird. Hawkman's giant fists. Lack of detail/paint apps on the cape, no cuffs, off headsculpt, scimitar is comical in size much like Rorschach's grappling hook gun.

A while back I picked up a DC Direct Hush series Ra's Al Ghul to swap out the head when I get the DCIE version.

Thought I'd merge these two Ra's threads.

One of my all time favorite bat villains. Never excited about the prospect of a figure. kinda strange, but I was happy when announced and slightly disappointed in the execution seen in the sdcc pics. I too am hoping for a pleasant surprise when he ships,(ie he looks better than the pics), but I will gladly paint/modify at need.

You know it is too bad that with all the years Mattel was making the DCUC figures they never designed a new suit body.

Yeah, I think the first figures to utilize that body were Clark Kent and Two-Face. It's passable for Harv but for Clark? No way... :smroll:
