Batman's 75, why so much love DC?

I've been wondering this since last year.
When Supey turned 3/4 of a century old last year, I feel DC just gave him a passing "happy birthday". True he had a animated short (just like Bats this year) and with his first MAJOR feature film, not to mention reboot, his celebration was pretty lax last year. He is the first superhero after all...you're welcome Bat-fans!
Now the caped crusader on the other hand has already been given the special treatment, with his own animated short, a birthday mention nearly every day and an already announced list of a bevy of action figures (though some are reissues, still it hurts).
Maybe it's just me, but outside of the MoS movie and accompanying figures, he didn't get the love he should've. I sure I'm just being nitpicky, but had to get it off my chest.
