I never, ever heard of this - and I'm really confused by this announcement here and this any connection to this comic book below? ... This is the first time I heard about this and I'm completely lost on this documentary.

I did pick this up at SDCC this year and it gives us a good look at what could've happened in the 90's...kinda glad this didn't happen, but man would it have been a messed up ride!!
If anyone has a chance to buy/rent this, do it...worth the time
