Ugh, there's going to be no one left from Night Court soon as actress Markie Post passed away.

Post guest starred in several early 80s shows such as The A-Team, Cheers, The Love Boat, Simon & Simon, and Buck Rogers

Night Court, as I discussed in the Charles Robinson post, was one of, if not my favorite comedy of all-time, began in 1984 and went through several public defenders (Gail Strickland, Paula Kelly, Ellen Foley) before it really hit it's stride until season 3 when Post came on as a regular as public defender (and Ms. Lackawanna--a suburb of Buffalo!) Christine Sullivan, where she quickly became the target of lecherous lawyer, Dan Fielding. Christine Sullivan was a huge fan of the British Royals, and a bit goodie-goodie which made for a great straight-woman beside the much goofier Judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson) and libido driven lawyer Dan Fielding (John Larroquette).

Post would go on to star on Hearts Afire with John Ritter (sadly also gone way too soon) as well as voicing the character of June Darby on Transformers Prime.

Post would also appear in the film There's Something About Mary where she played Mary's mom alongside fellow Night Court actor, Charles Robinson, who we also sadly lost just a month ago.

Markie Post was 70.
