I bet you never knew that giant was a wrester much less wrestled in Buffalo That's good about the Smashing Machine. The Rock is something there. They need to make more movies like that of stories before the things most people know.
OK, next up us 1953's Salome
This movie's story was a part of 61's King of Kings but was really changed.
It stars Rita Hayworth.
Stewart Granger is really great here.
They have good chemistry together.
Charles Laughton
And Arnold Moss
Here's the Trailer
Here's this music by George Duning

The Past isn't a Wilderness of Horrors - We Grow Old Because We Stop Playing - DTA - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - ALWAYS Watch the Skies - Question Everything, FTW! = Me + Various <-->
Whoa, that Smashing Machine looks nuts. Got to check that out.
"Finally got all the way through that 'Death of Superman' video game...as Steel. Play Superboy and you're history by level three, right? But Steel..." - Kon-El AKA Superboy
You know, I didn't even recognize that it was the Rock at first. I guess without all the body tats and his hair style, he looked familiar but I couldn't place him. He kind of looked like Andre the Giant and Don Muraco had a baby, lol.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a Rita Hayworth film though I know she's quite a big name from back then.
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
Yes, he looked quite different. It's something how they do this CGI when stuff like that took hours & hours to do in a day. He had Me fooled for a little while until I started seeing his movements & hearing his voice...I'm like...oh that's The Rock I never seen Texasville. Good cast.
Here's 1962's Sodom and Gormorrah which is one heck of a movie
Stewart Granger is in this too. Another forgotten great actor. He plays LOT
Rossana Podestà, Stanley Baker, Scilla Gabel and others are here as well in this remarkable story.
Here's the Trailer
The music is by the legendary Miklós Rózsa who's done a lot of movies like this including the Ten Commandments. His music makes the movies so much more

It was something else but really because of the era, a lot could not be seen.
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU as you see these 2 fan made movie trailers of SW: ROTS for the 20th Anniversary that was recently at the theaters Gosh, I'm so glad they included John Williams' fantastic score. What a time this was in 2005

ROTS was the first of the PT I actually went to see in theaters. The first two I just wasn't interested in enough to see then. My son had hockey games in Rochester and Niagara Falls the last two days so we've been on the thruways a lot and someone has a sense of humor because the because the flashing traffic screens have been flashing between "drive safely you must" and "arrive home you will".
"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, there's a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him. It's 2 AM."
How about that First, that SW Starfighter has potential, they made many games based on the ships including Rogue Squadron, let's see how this is. Oh now see, I never stopped loving SW since I was little and when it made it's come back in 93 I was very excited then when 99 happen with a new movie to tell how it all started...it was so fun. Thankfully, I saw all three of the PT when they came out but seeing ROTS was truly an experience. Though My fave of the PT is Attack of the Clones, it's like The Empire Strikes back of the PT. Also, still ESP is in My twenty best sequelslist, really in the top 5. Don't forget, I have spotlighted the OT before but I have not done the PT nor the ST yet, maybe in time
OK, here's this and maybe it's a surprise to you. A while back, I spotlighted the great 300 movies. I bet you thought that was an original movie solely based from the graphic novel of the historical time right Well, you be incorrect because they actually made a movie called The 300 Spartans decades prior
There's a lot that seems original but isn't. This came out in 1962
Richard Egan plays King Leonidas
Anna Synodinou plays his beloved Queen Gorgo.
Sir Ralph Richardson plays Themistocles of Athens.
Also, in this epic is a very young Diane Baker & Barry Coe.
David Farrar plays Xerxes, the king of Persia. His lackey is Donald Houston and his love is Ann Wakefield.
There is some really cool visuals in the movie.
This is really an amazing movie especially since there is no special effects & CGI. All of these huge armies are all real. Over the course of time, I have learned to appreciate how these great older movies are like this with so much work that went to them
Here's the superb Trailer to this fantastic movie
The music is great by Manos Hadjidakis
Soon I'll post a huge Blockbuster from 2000 but it was actually a remake too, you see that in time. Another good one is coming next
