Yes, you really can't get any better than that My goodness, I didn't see this until I read your post then My Mom told Me This is so horrible. There are many reports that are saying this is suspicious. The reports are saying they were already dead a couple or so weeks and they were just found and that their bodies WERE MUMMIFIED On X/Twitter, Randy Quaid is saying they were murdered Those were some great clips. Here's these reports
It's weird that video I posted yesterday was in 91, that's when Hackman married his wife, she was a very pretty Asian. May they all Rest in Peace

It's just awful. When the news first broke they said no foul play was suspected but the more I hear it sounds like a murder-suicide from how the bodies were found. How sad that it sounded like weeks before they were found.

That was a great Simpsons there. I know. They were discovered by a worker and they called the police. The 911 were asking all kinds of questions that they couldn't answer so the cops wasted valuable time
Here's more including one that features Hackman movie clips including his first movie appearance

It's horrible to think of that poor dog stuck in hat kennel, too. The whole thing is tragic. No idea what the cuase of death will be, but there's no way they both died of natural causes.

Yes and they need to test the dog and figure out what and it was in there in the first place
I just found out that Buster Poindexter aka David Johansen has also died
Here's this from 1988
From 1995, 30 years ago this year
Don't forget, he was in 1988's Scrooged...
1990's Tales from the Drakside...
and 1993's Mr. Nanny

RIP. I never knew where the name Buster Poindexter came from so that was interesting to hear. I didn't know anything about the New York Dolls. He was always Buster and the Ghost of Christmas Past to me.
I was curious to hear your thoughts on that Tom MacDonald song. I had no idea who he was. I couldn't sleep last night so I wound up listening to Richard Syrret on Coast to Coast AM and that was a song they played coming back from a break and the lyrics kind of struck me to the point where I searched out the whole song. Apparently even though this is a bit folksy he's more of a rapper with a "right wing" slant. Some of his other songs are "interesting" though rap isn't really my forte, there's even one he did with Roseanne of all people. But something about that song touched me in some way, and I thought if nothing else you'd find the lyrics to be of interest.

Yep, you learn a lot by going back to the past, it's all there. I didn't know right off the bat but Scrooged, 1990's Tales from the Darkside and Mr. Nanny is the movies that I know he's in. When I think of them, he always comes to mind and it's been that way for a very long time now.
Here's this cool KDNL from 1999, notice the Fox is no longer there because Channel 2 KTVI was Fox 2 now

That was a cool Perfect Strangers. I really like their take on classic old school stuff...it was the 80s, there was a ton of retro stuff then in movies & TV shows...now Perfect Strangers is classic old school
Here's this historic Commercial from Fast Eddie's Bon Air from 1998. I sure recall this very commercial seeing it on Fox Sports Midwest a lot. The late great Mike Shannon would be a big part of this and advertise the legendary place later on. I've never been there but yes, Fast Eddie's is still around

Bronson Pinchot does an amazing Ed Norton in that clip. I like when they do those retro scenes. Back then they wouldn't have meant much to me, so seeing them now is fun.
I meant to talk about this yesterday and it was late and I forgot. You mentioned you'd never heard of You Can't Do That on Television. That was a pretty big Nickelodeon staple in the mid to late 80s, so it must've been just before your time. It was pretty popular, I think. It was produced in Canada, and it actually had a young Alanis Morrissette on it at one point.
One of the common segments was with the burger place ran by Barth (which usually intentionally sounded more like Barf) which also used a lot of gross out humor, not surprising since this was during the heyday of things like Garbage Pail KIds. He was know for his catch phrase of "I heard that"/
It's also credited as being the place where the green slime originated as there was a running gag when someone woudl respond with a question with "I don't know" they would get slimed.
It was kid of like a kids version of Laugh In with short segments, including the lockers. I've looked over the years for clips, but short segments are hard to find so here's a full episode. Watch as much as you want. I think you'll like this opening, they often began with this sort of opening. The theme always reminded me of British television, obviously since Canada is still a British Colony (I kid, Acid). At least until it becomes the 51st state!
