WOW, I was waiting for you to post this on here, in fact when you said about starting a toy commercial topic, I was like he's gotta post that classic Alien by Kenner and so here it is That Alien, like them kaijus earlier, he is worth gold! He was kinda controversial too back in the day. He is one of the most sought after figures ever and his commercial is one of the most memorable as well IMO. Never got a chance to get him as he came out 2 years before I was born and he was already gone from the shelves and was beginning to be a rare collectable even then Gosh I loved the domed skull! Thank goodness I got most of Kenner's Aiiens & Predators back then & quite recently too as I am a huge AvP fan especially Aliens! I also kinda made up for it too when I got that extremely rare 18" NECA Alien along with some of the 18" NECA Predators

In fact some of these older commercials, like the Slime Monster Game, were things I remember them having because they were older but I always liked them. That Alien was freaky scary when I was really young, but fun at the same time. I remember he and Godzilla had many a battle. Kind of crazy to think that was a kids toy back then, lol.
BrandonDaCollector wrote:Now here we go with My most prized figures of My entire B-Day lot! For years I was contemplating on getting them since 2013/2014 but I got them now I had other stuff on My mind but these ultimately won Me over way more The Alien ReAction Figures! They are made by Super7 & Funko! Some of you may already know but if you don't know the story about their origins here is a briefing about it. Kenner had the licensed to make action figures from the classic 1979 Alien film. They had already made a giant 18" version of Big Chap but it stirred so much controversy from parents thus canceling the whole line. Decades later Super7 got into the vault if you will and found the original sculpts and decided to make it their mission to bring the series back and they did and it became a success! They are so much like the original Kenner SW figures not only in scale but they also have the same peg holes (the POTF 2 stands do not fit them nor these Alien figures sadly but that is even more of the crucial point of their origins). I basically got the whole series without many of the variants cause you know, every series no matter which one it is, is gotta have those must have variants (wow, we have been hearing so much of that word of recent times haven't we???). I got the 3 Nostromo - 3 figure box sets from 2018 of Pack #1: Ripley & her cat Jonesy, Battle-Damaged Ash and Kane in Space Suit with Attached Ovomorph/Facehugger - Pack #2: Parker & Brett and bloody jaws extracted Xenomorph - Pack #3: Dallas & Lambert and Bloody Xenomorph with jaws action feature. Now, the Alien Franchise is one of My most fave and cherished film franchises of all and I will explain that it time at a later date. There is one VERY crucial & imperative aspect of this series is that because these figures are technically made by Kenner and older than I am, they fit WONDERFULLY with the old Kenner Star Wars figures as stated previously and especially fit in greatly with the above seen SW figures and that is one of the BIG reasons why I chose this series is because they are in scale with them...yep, Alien and Star Wars together in the same universe Now their prices were a bit higher than I would've liked but it wasn't too bad but man, the pack with Dallas & Lambert were the highest and hardest ones to obtain however All figures have 5 POA ecept the Alien with his tail and action features. The all have great sculpting and likenesses, My faves are Brett, Parker and Lambert and one of the selling points of this set was Jonesy, I thought it was really clever to they thought including him, nice touch!
I also got the variant of Kane out of the space suit with a detachable Ovomorph/Facehugger and a regular version of the Alien himself! Like his variants, he has a removable dome revealing his skull as it was meant to be seen as he has a lever to extract/retract his inner jaws! He is really cool! Kane is decent as well and the Facehugger looks pretty authentic for the scale
Again, I thought I was done with My B-Day shopping but I got the Nightfall Alien/Xenomorph from Aliens just in time for My big day. There were 3 variants of this one but My fave the Nightfall version! I also got the Invisible Predator!. Now these are additionally created figures to extend the series thanks to much demand by Collectors & fans alike. I just love the sculpt and beautiful blue paint apps on the Alien and I absolutely adore his blister card, such horrific beauty! Now the Predator is greatly sculpted too with tremendous translucent plastic making him completely see-through. I love his card as well, such creativity!
Now My new ReAction collection wouldn't by fulfilled if I didn't at least 1 Terminator! I got The Terminator and Sarah Connor from T1 and also got the T-1000 from T2! I chose these T1 versions because they were the cheapest plus he was the first type seen and that version of Sarah Connor is such a uncommon version in figure form. Now the T-1000 has been done multiple times in figure form and this was the Entertainment Earth exclusive. These were also extended upon by demand. One special note is when I ordered all of these, the T-1000 was the very first one I got in the mail so he will always be known as My very first Super7-Funko ReAction Figure!
As a whole I have mixed emotions of the ReAction series. Its really the quality more than anything and makes it overall bittersweet. I know they don't move very much and I totally expected that and that isn't a prob for Me whatsoever. My issues is that when you move their arms & legs up and down their sides & crotches wanna crack open and regular Kane's neck is glued tight and one of the bloody Xeno's left arm is glued tight too. Also the T-1000's gun is impossible to put in either of his hands. My prob is it's knowing that they are not working properly. This is one of the reasons why I can't stand today's figures, even if it was from 2014, it's still rather recent and still follows this unneeded and careless trend that these companies shove down our throats not to mention trending off of each other with such high prices. I dealt so much of this even before then with Mattel'sWWE, ToyBiz Marvel Legends, NECA & McFarlane among so many others with articulation problems then and really I don't know how I put up with it all cause I got a ton of figures back in the day. Them vintage SW figures has way better quality than these, in fact seems most of the older stuff is way better the the newer stuff, been thinkin' that for along time now in just about every caetory that on ecan possible come up with in this day and age. So really I'm not sure if I'm gonna collect these ReAction figures any further. There are more characters to get in the Aliens, Predator and Terminator series' plus there is a ton more from many other series's. At least I have 1 representative from Aliens & Predator cause they complement each other so well from the great classic crossover by Dark Horse Comics long ago and at least I got a bit of Terminator as well. You could do it with Kenner's awesome series but they were a bit out of scale with Aliens, Predator, Marines & Terminator and others of the tremendous series back in the 90s but when your a huge AvP fan like Me you want more. then again, since these guys are limited in POA it's no big deal and is really fun to display Alien, Predator and Terminator together with others like Star Wars! So who knows, I might get more later on down the road, we'll see.

Last year for My B-Day which you can see the whole thing here ---> http://www.dctoyrevolution.org/general-discussions/recent-acquirements-from-2020-surprises-galore-t1063-10.html I got meself a whole bunch of Super7's ReAction figures because I knew about these for quite awhile but never got them then I I kept on think'in that I better get them while I could and NOT fall in the previous condition I once was like oh I gotta get this new figure instead of something I should've years ago like most people are. This series is a great one and the first ever one is quite crucial, in fact IMO it's one of the most imperative lines a collector could buy which is the 1979 Alien Series See, this was originally Kenner's series but it was cancelled due to it being too scary for kids and parents were even terrified thus because of that however over time I tend to believe this story to be a bit of bum-steer because if you saw the commercials that Me & PB have provided here within the topics, the kids weren't scared, they were having the time of their lives then come in the early to late 90s Kenner would get the licence to make Alien figures once more but if that wasn't enough they would make Predator & Terminator figures as well. If you have seen My Recent Acquirements and elsewhere then you already seen and know that I am a huge Alien, Predator & Terminator fan, sometimes I believe I'm bigger at it even more so than Star Wars at times. I was familiar with all three of'em when I was a youngster and there was nothing like being excited for these movies but many audiences seem to not be which makes Me even more of a prouder outlier My Grandpa was ok about it and he wasn't the bravest when it came to organs & stuff, My Mom & Grandma were a bit squeamish too but over time they got to really liking the franchises. Don't think I wasn't squeamish at times either cause I was and still am a bit but I was a horror kid, I just loved it all and collecting them in the 90s was such a great time cause Dark Horse Comics crossed them over with each other and it just was a blasting period of time to be a part of let Me tell ya. So Super7 made Predator & Terminator figures too as you can see them in My Recent Acquirements but the focus here is something that ANY collector and especially SW & Alien fans alike should want to see & to do for themselves which if that total rubbish of society being too terrified didn't come into play we wouldn't have been in the situation that became a reality of them never getting produced and having a display of Star Wars & Alien together Thankfully a company that came out of nowhere basically called Super7 got into the Kenner & Hasbro ARCHIVE VAULT and was able to find and restore the original sculpts, molds and more of the 1979 Alien series that never saw the light of day in the early part of the 2010s which is really a small or big miracle depending on how you look at it and it all came into play quite nicely as a series of it's own even though it was already decades old but guys like Me that grew up with it and loved it would appreciate what finally came into our nostalgic hands of our childhood So with all of that being known, I am completely satisfied with the outcome of this and all of the display possibilities as a whole because it matches up so darn well and it actually looks like it's over 40 years old here and not some recent figure of the modern market I mean it's absolutely incredible. Here is just a hint of what I was just talking about as we have here something very special which is Kenner's Vintage SW 4-Lom & Kenner's Alien Xenomorph brought back by Super7
More to come soon
