Hi guys, I thought I'd start a toolbox thread so we can share what we use for custom figures since I see a lot of people ask, "So what did you use for...".

Under "Helpful Tools" I'd add a Leatherman, an X-acto knife, sandpaper (fine), small wood screws (and a dedicated cutter for chopping off their heads), and clear plastic twist-ties (for making tubes and such).

I'd also add a section for Pens, with Brush Pens, Sharpies (metallic and bright colors), and Paint Pens (metallic and opaque).

I second that but also, if you do ANY spraying of ANYTHING, wear a breathing mask. And not those cheap painter masks that you can get for 10 cents. Most hardware stores sell the good sanding and painting masks for $10 and up.

Wasn't sure where to put this question, but here it goes....
I've got a Mattel Arkham Asylum Batman figure with a broken neck joint. Does anyone sell a replacement/molded "dog bone" neck piece, online? I really want to fix his neck joint so his head doesn't fall off!!

I'm also looking for some regular, flesh colored hands. I want to make DC Infinite Earths Black into a suit & tie Bruce Wayne. I have a great Bruce Wayne head molded from a DC Direct Figure, but I need some hands to replace the gloved Black Mask hands.

Not flesh colored but a little paint will do the job.

How about Jack Knight Starman's hands? I think he can be had pretty cheap. If you find a listing for Starman on Amazon, look for one that says "Styles may vary" and it's likely they'll send you Jack instead of Ted.

Truwe: I bought the Bruce Wayne head from Casting Cave, and I saw those hands. I don't want the marvel legends-style, articulated hands. Those other open hands seem more for a magic-weilding character & not Bruce Wayne.

Muthasucka: The Jack Knight idea is pretty good. I'll have to look an Amazon or Ebay to see what I can find cheap. I may even find him hanging around a local store, pegwarming.
