Polar Boy made from a Captain Cold body and an Aqualad YJ head. I had a Kamandi that was going to be Star Spangled Kid, but I got another base for that. Then I had the idea that I could start the Substitute Legion. Polar Boy would be a good place to start, but that Captain Cold body screamed Polar Boy. That meant Kamandi would become Chlorophyll Kid. Big thanks to Packerbacker for the trade
The crest on Chlorophyll Kid was made using masking tape. Let me know what you think
I am on a path to complete a set of JLA villains from the Silver Age.. next up The Key. I started out with Mercury from the Metal Men. I thought I could make his face work well for the character. I liked the lean build, but I was not fond of the height. I took 1/4 inch off by cutting it off at the shins. The boot cuffs I sculpted cover the seam. The head piece, gloves, belt, and boot cuffs were all sculpted with Aves. The key gun is made with a wire and duct tape armature sculpted over with Aves.

Thanks Tony, I need to take some better pictures when I get my new Samsung Galaxy! Yeahyuh! I am hoping picture quality will go way up from the Blackberry I have been using.
Shady was made from a Modern DCUC Cheetah. I mixed three shades of blue to get the skin tone I wanted, seemed like a good idea on the first coat. Then I had to mix three shades every time I needed to cover a mistake. I make a lot of mistakes The bracelets are sculpted and I needed to figure out how to get the darn little 's' shape right. I wound up making the shape in the palm of my hand and transferring it over to her wrists. Her cape is made from a piece of blue felt with black duct tape on the back.
Let me know what you think

I know everyone has a strong opinion of the nu52. They have saved me a lot of money in what I am not buying anymore.. When I saw the design for the future Flash in the latest story arc I decided that it was worth putting in the collection. I am a sucker for a Flash variant. I started with a White Lantern Flash and removed his head and boot wings. I sculpted the mask, chest, and gizmo on the back of his hand. I used shrinky dinks to make the lightning bolt and the head wings. base coated in black and painted the costume details in white. Then I wen over the white with a light blue. The lightning effects are from the White Lantern Flash's back. I cut them and attached to his thigh and shoulder
