Awesome work on Johnny, Jakeem and the Bolt, packer. Is that entire Johnny figure from Jimmy or did you use a DCUC suit body base??

Thanks. It's just Jimmy Olson. To swap would've involved cutting off the neck and creating a peghole. Since the suit works just fine, I didn't bother with the extra effort.

Packerbacker Customs--Scandal Savage & Jeannette p.14

Postby packerbacker180 » Sun Jul 06, 2014 6:55 pm

Been working on these for quite a while (ask HectorHall). Really, characters like these were the whole reason I got into customizing, to fill gaps of favorite characters that Mattel would never make. Thought these had a chance when the Secret Six was getting good reviews, but in hindsight, 'tooling costs' for unique pieces probably made these gals improbable. But at least we have Batzarro (well, I don't since I removed my credit card from my Matty account so they never shipped me mine--$35 for him? Hellz no!)

CRAPCRAPCRAP! These are sooo cool! Even with the opportunity to see progress, I am still floored. I said this awhile ago (around Golden Glider if I am not mistaken) I am a big fan. These two define the reason why. Is that the Instamorph on Scandal? Looks like you're already more adept with it than I am! All the costume details are there with painstaking care, this is the sort of thing that raises the bar for me. It makes me want to try harder and put more effort in so I can add to my collection. The fact that you look for the characters that no one else seems to take on is EXACTLY the motivation I had for customizing in the first place. I started this praise/rant with CRAPCRAPCRAP because I know I am going to have to attempt these two soon. After seeing yours, I will never know rest until I can complete the essential characters from this book! So sweet that you included pics of the two couples! How is that clown coming along? Do I have to prepare myself for jaw dropping?
