Re: HectorHall Dr Light + Will Payton Starman pg19

And Will's first appearance costume. The head was from a series six Superman, but I wanted a body with little detail to dremel off. Green Lantern body with the ring sanded off. I realized that he was off model after I had finished getting the last layers of yellow on his costume. So I convinced myself that he looked better this way. What do you all think?

And HectorHall said, let there be Light. And it was so. Told this elsewhere, love your Light. Man, if we could combine our custom collections into one big super collection , we'd have a tenth of the DCU done now.

So when you making Sue Dibny? :wwshock: oh, what, too soon?

Re: HectorHall Classic Despero pg20

Postby HectorHall » Thu May 22, 2014 4:10 pm

I used a five pack Green Lantern Sinestro for this one. I drilled seven holes in his head and glued pieces of toothpicks into them. I sculpted the head fin, third eye, gloves, belt, collar, and boots with Milliput. The skirt is made with duct tape. I also sculpted the bottom of his pants going into the boots and the flare on the side of his thighs. An appropriate look for a would be galactic dictator. I have seen plenty of customs for the hulked up Mohawk fin version, but I really wanted to hit his Siler Age classic look. I hope I nailed it. Whattaya think?

I have Kanjar Ro in mind, can you guys think of any other classic JLA villains? The Key, Queen Bee, Amos Fortune....

This is some of your best work, Double H. I think they look great!

Thanks Acid, I have found that I am a little more caring about the finished figure now that I am posting my work. The feedback I have gotten from the others on the board has gone a long way in encouraging me to up my game.
