My latest: Arkham Asylum front gates

INGREDIENTS:
- 2, "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" from Jean Grey Marvel Select
- Kenner's New Adventures of Batman and Robin 5-pack Arkham sign
- sculpted the upper parts of the gate tops
- painted in the mortar
- painted an older brick color
- "aged" the Arkham sign to appear rusted and old
- the vines are the twist ties from action figure clamshells
- hand written Arkham sign on brick post
- sealed

Forgot to add that I cut off the top portion ("X" design) of the gate to make room for the Arkham sign...thought about keeping it but glad I didn't.

I only ask this cuz I've seen the amazing work you did on the Batcave...do you have plans for an asylum to go with those gates? Maybe individual cells? The gate are very cool and make a great backdrop for those group shots.

Honestly, I wasn't even thinking about cells to go with the gates, merely cuz I was thinking of this in terms of space. I've always wanted to make the cell blocks of the asylum and began a crude version of it at our old house, but never followed through due to space limitations in the Swamp 1.0...

The "warden" has told me that the basement is mine to do with what I please (thanks wife!!) and I think I'll build my large scale dioramas in the 4th bedroom.

Those dioramas will be: the new and improved Batcave (yes!), the Hall of Justice (can't wait to try this again) and the Fortress of Solitude. If there's enough room, I'll toss in the Daily Planet rooftop....but that cell block is starting to take shape in my so-called mind, and may be a better use of space than the Planet will be.

Love that Arkham Asylum piece! The figures really do look great posed in front of it, like they've just busted out and are free to commit new, heinous crimes!
