Wow, I recall seeing that Super Soaker back in the day of 1996. That was really cool. If you look at the bottom of the commercial, it says 1996 Laramie, a subsidiary of Hasbro, This was a year after they took over Laramie in 1995, 30 years ago this year

Every Easter, I think of the cool times when My Grandma MiMi rented Me video games systems at Schnucks on Iron Street and especially Blockbuster Video in Holly Hills on Gravois. I've expressed before that it was kind of a tradition that My Grandma would do a little something special for Me for Easter and 92 & 93 was so memorable because in 92, she rented Me the SNES which was so cool at at both places. Playing Super Mario World, Super Castlevania IV, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Final Fight & Street Fighter 2 was so good. Then in 93, she rented Me the Sega Genesis & Sega CD at Blockbuster (she also rented Me the 32X in the Fall of 94). This was the beginning for Me of the great Nintendo vs. Sega days

Now, with that being said. Here's these 2 short Blockbuster Easter Commercials but this is different because it's in Australia Now, I had said before during Halloween time last year that Australia is behind on things compared to the USA and that Halloween traditions was becoming a new thing for them. Well, they weren't behind but kept the great fun times of renting DVDs & Blu-rays up until not to long ago. The very last Blockbuster Video in Australia closed down in around Easter Time of 2019 These 2 are from 2015, 10 years ago this year

I know it's been 10 years but it feels like Blockbuster was gone longer than that, not even really sure anymore. Time just blends together.

That was a good one there. I can identify every year in the 80s & 90s by category, what came out, how it felt and so on, it's more difficult past 2000s for Me especially in the 2010s, now those years blend in. It's not like that with Me about Blockbuster. It was gone from the States by the mid 2000s, the classic movie days ended when they did

Weird they'd last so much longer in Australia, maybe Netflix wasn't a thing there as much yet.

It is but I don't know about the Netflix deal there like here in the USA but I wouldn't rule it out. Oh, I sure recall that Handsfree Telephone Set.

That was a great Vintage Star Wars Commercial by Kenner. I wasn't born yet when that came out but I know it was a very fun time The Missouri Tigers is one of the top college football teams.
