So finally, I'm going to have a major showcase. In short, I have had many probs & delays preventing Me from doing what I do which is providing the most & exciting visual content you'll see here or quite frankly anywhere :) So, this will be a ginormous, 5-PART SPECIAL that I have been longing to do for a very, very long time of...

Image
Image

Yes, RoboCop and the Ultra Police by Kenner in one of My most fave series' they have ever done. Now if you don't know any of this. The series came out in 1988, a year after the super violent live-action film. It's also somewhat based on the animated cartoon by Marvel of the same name

Image

I'll talk about the show at a later time because showing off the figures that strangely ToyBiz never made, is more imperative at the moment. Even though the series came out in 1988, the series did make to 1989 so this still marks it's 35th Anniversary :!: So I'm going to present the good guys first :)

Image

RoboCop aka Alex Murphy: As you see he looks just like how he does the movies. Really, he doesn't have any hint at all of animation.

Image

Kenner really had great sculpting in the 80s so few people give them credit about or look back on  Look how marvelous he looks here

Image

You can take his removable Helmet off as it reveals his face that is sculpted rather well with the likeness of actor Peter Weller :!:

Image

Now every figure in the series has 'Cap-Firing Action which they all back compartments to place included Paper Roll Firing Caps within their backs. As you see here, I used RoboCop a ton here...look at that :o

Image

I still have some Paper Roll Firing Caps from way back then. This was such a fun thing for kids back then or at least it was for Me. Today's kids really have no clue how darn fun it was being a child during these exciting times. I think about that every day how every day goes by with more of a chance of things falling to Oblivion in this Limbolic but they could still learn from their elders if they have that passion of knowing how cool those times were :)

Image

Officer Anne Lewis: Here's Alex/RoboCop's police partner, best friend & love interest. They made her look pretty good but different than her movie appearance. If you looked good at the Logo Header that I made, you noticed that their together :wwwink:

Image

Many of the cops sport Vac-Metal which is one of the many, many things that has a severe amount of dearth in this modern day & age  She has this. She clearly has little boobs so there's no doubt that she's female. She has a Crossbow-gun as her weapon of choice...

Image

also since I have an extra Firearm from RoboCop which really, I cannot recall how I got it, I gave that to her :scww:

Image

She has a removable helmet...

Image

she has a nice-looking face with earrings.

Image

She is the only woman in the entire series :wwshock:

Image

Sgt. Reid: His character was seen in the movies and has a decent likeness of Robert DoQui. He too has a removeable Helmet as well.

Image
Image
Image

Wheels Wilson is a new character and he looks good, check out his Handcuffs/Binders/Restraints :!:

Image
Image
Image

"Birdman" Barnes is another new character that was added to the cartoon. He was darn cool too :!:

Image
Image

''Ace'' Jackson was yet another newly added entry to the animated show, boy he's really radical.

Image
Image
Image

MAIL AWAY SPECIAL

So, this was during the heyday when you could send in Proof of Purchases/POPs and get free figures via a Mail Away Offer. This is yet another great thing that is really lacking in this pathetic Era that so many people don't talk about and/or acknowledged while people are so distant now. Kenner had their offer for Night Fighter RoboCop...when I saw this I had to have him so as always, My Grandma MiMi did it for Me like she did for My Kenner Star Wars & Hasbro G.I. Joes.. He's always been one of My top figures so here's a good look at Night Fighter RoboCop

Image
Image
Image

I love that his left arm is a Gatling Gun.

Image

Like his regular counterpart, his Helmet is removable with a good likeness of Peter Weller :)

Image

A major feature of his is that he Glows in the Dark which was yet another great thing about the 80s :)

Image

VEHICELS

Here's Robo-1, many of it's stickers has come off but it still looks & really nice. You can put two figures in it. I always put RoboCop & Anne in it because their always partners.

Here's the Robo-Cycle, it's extremely beat-up as the Vac-Metal has really come off due to age & play but otherwise it's still pretty decent :)

Next up is the Vandals which are the bad guys and their all really cool :schal:

Image

Here's the leader of them known as Headhunter :!:

Image

Image
Image

Here's Nitro, look at him :!:

Image
Image
Image

Look at Chainsaw :!:

Image
Image
Image

Here's Dr. McNamara. Unfortunately I couldn't find his gun which is one the reasons why I delayed My Showcase for so long...hopefully I can find it soon.

VEHICLES

Here's the great Skull Hog :!:

OTHER CHARACTER

Oh man, here's ED-260, I was so surprised when I found him over at Venture in South Town that I've showcased & spoke of many times times before. It was so fun there and I'm grateful that I know how it was :) He turns at the waist & his legs move too. He's extremely realistic and still is one of the best sculpts that Kenner ever made and is truly still one of the best Vintage action figures of ever of all-time :!:

So moving on to the next part, here's the 1988 Kenner Copyrights as well as the 1989 Copyrights which again, this year marks this tremendously fun series' 35th Anniversary  As I always say which I hope that somebody is reading this and heeds My advise to always check them Copyrights & Trademarks on all of your collectibles regardless of what they are because I've been doing it since I was little and I always wanted to find out things and this was a good method for Me to do so as it helps one to know who made what and when it was made. The "supposed" experts never tell you these things...I'm not a expert but I have been around the block more than once and I know things so since you know this, starting checking...you'll be glad that you did :)

Image

Look as this is Nitro's Blister Card. It's the only one that I could locate but thank goodness that I did. The Cards were decent but like many by Kenner, they weren't overly detailed with bios and the like which sometimes is a turnoff for Me but it's historically fun so I'm not one for complaining & picking great things apart. He's looking right at it:!:

Image
Image
Image

Here's these Kenner Action Guides. Now these were always so exciting as they show you what other great products that Kenner made. I'm only showing the RoboCop toys. I was never able to find the newer other action figures at stores. In My area, sometimes Kenner stuff wasn't easy to find as I have explained about before when My Grandparents could only find Kenner's Beetlejuice at Ben Franklin's for Me for Christmas, 1990 :)

Image

These were so cool when they were included with the Toys :)

SPECIAL KENNER SECTION from My previously seen Showcases.

RoboCop meets R5-D4

Image

RoboCop meets Superman

Image

RoboCop meets M.A.S.K.

Image

RoboCop meets The Centurions

Image

RoboCop meets Mr. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man

Image

RoboCop meets Chuck Norris

Image

RoboCop meets Johnny Bench

Image

RoboCop meets Beetlejuice

Image

RoboCop meets The Terminator...holy crap...Kenner made these crossovers possible and this is one of the many beauties I loved about Kenner longe before the days of McFralane & NECA. Shame how nobody talks about them but I am :)

Image

As a super special BONUS, here's Kenner's RoboCop with ToyBiz's Batman 89 that was previously seen in My Marvel Collection Topic as well as quoted within My Great Vintage Action figure Topic. Keep in mind that Marvel did the RoboCop Cartoon & Comics and one would think that they would have done the figures as well but instead they chose to do their own DC SuperHeroes Series so go figure about that.

Image

Kenner Special Group Shot :!:

Image

So that will do it for this massive, 5-Part Kenner RoboCop Showcase and I hope you enjoyed every second of it. I'm one of the very and I mean VERY few people on the web that does this sort of thing anymore and I hope you appreciate that. I have a lot more coming, soon next year I plan on doing some more great stuff from 1989 including stuff that I wasn't time for this year but as I always say, as long as you do them is what counts...

Mega Force, NA He-Man & Commputer Warriors 1.jpg

:o Until then I'll see you around :scbat:
