Packerbacker Customs Cupid update pg. 41

Postby packerbacker180 » Tue Nov 10, 2015 3:15 pm

Not having the fishnets on her arms was really bugging me because that's just how I am on attention to accuracy, so I went back and tried to do them. Was a bit of a pain and they might look a little more rough than I'd like, but I think the representation works well enough. I posted some new images in the original post on page 41. Welcome thoughts.

Packerbacker Customs Vive la France! Vive Mademoiselle! pg.

Postby packerbacker180 » Tue Nov 17, 2015 10:45 am

I was trying to finish her by Veteran's Day for Sarge. He always looks so out of place amongst all the superheroes and villains, I thought he someone to keep him company. And after what happened this weekend I think it's even more important to remember France is America's oldest ally. Vive la France!

Loved it Packerbacker - that is one of your best work and very realistic looking! :)

Doctor Fate and Fate of the World ... are the same person ... the reason for two accounts is to add more photographs to this forum.

she looks great, Packer! Nice, smooth paint applications What did you use to make her skirt out of?

InstaMorph moldable plastic. The stuff is pretty cool. HectorHall tipped me off to it. They're just tiny pellets you heat in boiling water than can mold until they cool. They're reusable too so you can reheat them. I've used them for this skirt, a thin mask for Scandal Savage, shoulder armor, knee pads (I'm sure you could make a pretty nice cape and/or hood though I haven't yet--but may try a hood soon). They're nice because they give you something stable to glue to the body but then you can sculpt on top of the plastic. That's how I made my Secret Six Parademon shoulder pads. You can get a 6 oz. bag on Amazon for $10. That doesn't sound like a lot but I haven't even come close to using all of mine yet.

Packerbacker Customs YARC: Yet Another Ragdoll Custom pg. 43

Postby packerbacker180 » Tue Nov 24, 2015 12:37 pm

I actually started this one before I finished my original Ragdoll last year. It's been sitting on the shelf about 80% painted since then so I decided to finish him up and maybe throw him on ebay to see if I can get some extra Christmas money. This version is pretty much a DCUC Deadman with the musculature all sanded off and a Jack Knight face for a mask. The fun is always in painting all those checkerboards. Sheesh.
