Interesting history even with the Marvel Comics. See, I had no recollection of these until years later, which is a good thing. They seem like the last gasps of a toy line that had run out of ideas.

So, My showcase is based on the anniversary. This year marks the 60th Anniversary of G.I. Joe Here's the very first commercial from back then



Now, I couldn't find a straight up single commercial of the special that I showcased however I found this, it has the Star Brigade first there then it shows you the special mail away figures of Joseph Colton that was in 1994, 30 years ago this year ...watch

Good Butterball Thanksgiving Commercial. Okay, here's nice & great Street Fighter G.I. Joe Commercial Compilation. Street Fighter actually gelled really nicely with the Joes how the two franchises were back then. What a dream match that would be...Duke & Guile vs. Cobra Commander & M. Bison

These aren't all Thanksgiving, but it's neat seeing a string of commercials from 50 years ago.

That was a great compilation there from 1972. That was a cool monster there That will do it for G.I. Joe...for now. Now, I posted a bit of Ashley Furniture before in the 80s...well their having a Black Friday sale this week. While this commercial is nothing compared to the classic ones, it's still good

Thankfully most stores aren't open on Thanksgiving again. That was a trend I didn't like though I did go to K-Mart and Big Lots when I was younger on Thanksgiving. The workers always looked miserable. Can't say I blame them.

Yeah, I know. It was bad for them I mean how can they spend time with the Family or even have a proper Holiday Oh gosh, Big Lots Sadly many of their stores are closing, very recently the location I've posted before where Venture used to be in South Town is now closed I just saw it the other day in person...it's so sad. I had so many good memories there too

Okay, no Black Friday Commercial today because I just lucked into a commercial of VENTURE Oh man I was very surprised by this. It's an After Thanksgiving sale...way long before the chaos of Black Friday. Check this out..you'll see some great G.I.
