I've always thought he was great actor but yes, the subjects of his movies are quite different than others but usually the're very entertaining and he always performs well. I actually never seen Vibes, it's usually in the back of My head but just never got to it however I know the music is by the late great James Horner



Okay, the next Hackman movie is Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation from 1974




This movie was nominated for best picture. Hackman is a paranoid & a very secretive surveillance expert...






whom has a crisis of conscience when he suspects that some couple that he is spying on will be murdered





He plays the Saxophone here




A very young Harrison Ford is his co-star



This is 3 or so years before he was Han Solo in Star Wars...look at that



The late great Allen Garfield is in the movie.



The late great looking Teri Garr is too.



The late great Robert Duvall is as well in a important role that's uncredited



John Cazale, a Coppola usual is in the film.



There's a lot of this in the movie as they were showing us what was possible
