It really never interested Me at all, that 1939 movie was enough for Me but that's good that it did you :) I never knew about Queen of the Ring. It does have a good cast. See, yet another movie about the past if a very important story. It does have a good cast indeed. I see that Josh Lucas is a main guy. My attention is always on Josh Lucas in a movie. I'm glad there's actual wrestlers in it rather than actors training to be them. I hope this opens some people's eyes to check out real life women's real wrestling of the past plus current wrestling. I'm surprised that Kamille & Britt Baker are in it. Not so much about Toni Storm since she's retro now I mean it's an obvious choice. I'm not about Naomi either because she's been in movies before. That's great that Jim Cornette is here because he was actual promoter himself, a very ideal choice there.

Here's the poster, it's pretty cool looking

This was the teaser :wwwink:

Since this was filmed at least a year ago, I wonder if Timeless Toni Storm was at least partly inspired from being in this. It certainly fits the era.

Ya know, I was thinking a similar thing about that. Of course, if they did, they wouldn't say or if they ever would, it would be a long while before they do. Andor looks good but I'm very behind on the new SW stuff, I haven't even seen the first season yet. It's a bit of a turn off really. I'd want some more interesting characters like Aurra Sing or others that hardly anybody talks about anymore.

I never seen this but its 1990 and it's 35th Anniversary is this year :)

More 1990 to come ;)

Heard of it, but never saw it. On CSM, I know all too well about him. He's the reason my Bills still can't get past the Chiefs.

OK, that's something you posted about CSM, not the place I expected but sometimes I like the unexpected ;) That clip was great. Since I don't watch Football, I really never knew that :o How about that new Nic Cage film for this year

Here's this great animated classic from 1990 :)

It was a big time that The Duck Tales had a feature film :)

The music was tremendous as it was by David Newman, the cousin of Randy :)

I think I've seen that. I would've been 12 so chances are it would've been a rental or maybe it aired on tv. I loved DuckTales but that was a few years before that when it first started airing.

I really never watched Nick Jr. yeah, unfortunately, after the film, DuckTales was slowly fading away  I actually never seen the French Connection before. Since the horrible news of Gene Hackman and his family, I'm going to post a few of his movies. I got dibs on The Package, Narrow Margin, Unforgiven & The Quick and the Dead. You can post whatever else of Gene Hackman's movies Packer ;)

Here's one of My fave of his movies, it's called Crimson Tide and came out during the great year of 1995 :)

Image

This is another that I a connection of when I was in the hospitals for one of My many stays but it was different because My Grandparents went to Star Video and rented it so they, My Mom and Myself all saw it together there so it was a memorable time 30 years ago this year :) I have seen it since then too. It's a tremendous movie produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Tony Scott whom is Ridley Scott's late great brother.

It stars "the now" late great Gene Hackman.

Rocky Carroll & Matt Craven.

and the late great Jason Robards in an uncredited role at the climax of the good film.

Hackman's play dog was something else.

I love the Silver Surfer argument/fight in the movie and those Star Treks nods. Here's the Trailer :)

The music is tremendous and crucial. This was the first music that Hans Zimmer did as credit with his Media Ventures. Two of his first associates who would later be major composers themselves, Harry Gregson-Williams & Nick Glennie-Smith did the orchestrations & conducted the wonderful choir respectively. This choir and this style of music would be heard in many more movies and some of them would Bruckheimer productions. It really trended and it's a great one. Here's the wonderful Cue that may sound like others because they were by Zimmer and his company as well l:)

Admittedly, never scene Crimson Tide. It just wasn't a genre I was interested in when it came out. I've never been a big military movie guy.

It's a great film. I wasn't either but like I said before, after WWF had the Desert Storm stuff in 1990, My eyes were open for it. You learn a lot by watching military & war films. I've never seen Heartbreakers before.

I got several Hackman movies to go plus a few surprises as well to come soon. Here's this great Gene Hackman movie called The Package that came out in 1989 :!:

Image

It's directed by Andrew David who did Code of Silence, Above the Law & Under Siege plus many more great ones. It stars Gene Hackman, a great looking Joanna Cassidy and Tommy Lee Jones.

Image

Hackman & Cassidy is a nice couple.

Image

The late great John Heard from Home Alone which is trange becuase...

Image

the late great Ralph Foody has a bit part too

Dennis Franz.

Pam Grier (Pic is not from the film)

Ron Dean, usual guy for Andrew Davis (Pic is not from the from)

Wilhelm von Homburg aka Vigo the Carpathian has a bit part (pic is not from the movie).

Here's the cool trailer.

The music is so good in this and makes the film really exciting. It's one of James
Newton Howard's first big ones :!:

I don't recall seeing that one either.
