Thanks Webslinger, yeah the Secret Wars stuff does not hold up to Legends or DCUC in terms of sculpt and articulation, but they (like Super Powers) were the figure line for comic heroes of the eighties. It occurred to me that some of the characters would fit in nicely with the look and feel of the line. I feel like the different lines from the different eras all have a happy place in the collection.

Fantastic idea on fleshing out the Secret Wars Universe...just clean and awesome all the way!!

As for the Hall, it hasn't moved much since I last posted pics of it. I got busy doing other things (ok, fine...I am easily distracted) and I have a couple of commission pieces that I'm still working on so the Hall as to take a backseat.

That actually works out well because it's being built in our basement bedroom and now we have some friends coming tomorrow for the weekend and I have to take it apart so they can put a couple of their 3 kids in the room with them...worked out for me

About the last figure - Dr. X - How about calling him the X-Guardian

Thanks Doc :D X-Guardian it is! unless somebody has a better idea. I am fickle.

I can live with that ... whatever name you decide I will support it wholeheartedly! :)
The Helmet of Fate, Amulet of Anubis, and the Cloak of Destiny Awaits You!

Doctor Fate and Fate of the World ... are the same person ... the reason for two accounts is to add more photographs to this forum.

Great job on these guys!!! I love Secret Wars and this really takes me back! It really helped me get into some of the other mainstream Marvel guys. Plus it debuted the super hot Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman.

Dunno. I was just being a wiseacre. Seems like something Marvel Age might say. So, YES you are right! Here is your No-Prize!

Houseguests with kids? Are they fascinated with your collection? My wife doesn't usually allow me to show off the insanity in my basement. :D

Goofy story, but it was landmark in a lot of ways. The toyline was the first time for a lot of the Marvel characters. The only one I never got ahold of was Electro.....gotta make my own. :D

Re: HectorHall Mxyzptlk, Libby, and Blue Jay pg 38

Postby HectorHall » Sat Nov 22, 2014 3:36 pm

I was excited for the Super Powers released by Mattel as their final farewell, especially Mxyzptlk. Then I saw the price.....and then I saw the reviews, so I passed. I still wanted Mxy, so I picked up a LOTR Bilbo and dremeled the buhjeezus out of him. I added to his cranium with milliput and used denim for the skirt.

Liberty Belle has been "on the list" for awhile now. I did not like my fodder options until I came across a lady wrestler that looked like she would work. The collar, boots, gloves, belt, and pants were done with milliput. Painted with acrylics
