AcidDragon Fire Pro Wrestling World Suggestions

After tinkering with the Fire Prowrestling World wrestler editor from launch day onward, I've found that it's a very powerful editor beyond anything we've been offered before in any other Fire Pro game. That being said, it still shares many of the same unaddressed limitations that it's previous games had. Some of my edits didn't look quite right or seemed to be missing a little something. There still aren't any glasses or shades in the game. No pointed beard. Some of the edits I've made of previous creations from past games still suffer from the same limitations or shortcomings. The following images are ideas I've come up with to rectify many of the issues I've had with the editor and also to endulge in my own wishlist wants. There's just no way to replicate Kendo Nagasaki's mask to satisfactory or Tinieblas. Sting's facepaint looks off and so does Warrior's. I've taken a modular approach to facepaint so that new combinations can be created from the abstract shapes for different creative combinations. I've done the same with the straps that could be recycled for Tazz's singlet, Demolition, Harlem Heat and IRS as well as many other wrestlers based on the configuration you choose. Hopefully Spike Chunsoft will consider some of these ideas in their future updates and who knows? Maybe some of these are already considered for the full version!

NOTE: The parts labeled Abstract are based on a design for a part already in the game used for the knee pads. I thought this would be great for many things by putting it on different parts of the body like Hayabusa's forearm guards, Dusty Rhodes trademark boots, an approximation of Bret Hart's skull/wing logo, etc.

*UPDATE* After rethinking some of these, I realized that the foundation for Destroyer Dick Beyer was already there, but it needs some tweaks. Namely, a generic open nose mask must be provided to accomodate many of the pieces that are already there. The existing mask heads are hardly compatible which is strange. The only other thing missing is a center line which could also be used for many other mask designs, so it's been added to the list.

*Exciting new Mask Theory compatible with Spike Chunsoft's existing engine. I've realized that many Lucha masks share the same base face design (or very close) and in keeping enough lines separated, you could reuse aspects to create any number of existing lucha mask designs, even highly complicated ones can be approximated. Take the example utilizing the X Line and Mouth Line and Part 420 (3) to approximate the Villanos masks! Take X Line and Mouth Line and the Waves and the Open Nose Mask foundation and the generic Diamond and Generic Mask face and you've approximated a very reasonable fascimile to something as complicated as Fish Man's mask, whose parts if were a combined piece would be much less useful. Exact? Not quite, but darn close! Eye Strap was able to be recycled with Solitary Mask to approximate Solitario's mask. Layering and alternating Half Open Nose Masks, Generic Half Masks and Top caps can create a VERY convincing Pierroth Jr. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions and I hope Spike Chunsoft takes a look and considers some of these ideas!

*UPDATE* July 30, 2017 Added a few more designs to the body layers. We seriously need waist stars, front and back and then we can just use the existing front or back waist layer to mask it off on the side that doesn't need it. Single chest star would be nice as well. Then a front star on the waist would also be nice to use in conjunction with the two stars or on its own.

Upper body camo has also been a strange omission for some time. I also added "Spike's" shoulder pads. The ones currently in Fire Pro are huge and don't work on some wrestlers. Forearm hair to complete the hairy legendary wrestlers. Probably one of the biggest additions I made to the list is probably the Waist Boxer add-ons. Used alone, Waist Boxer Waistband can serve as a high waisted belt of some sort. Combined with the rest of the layers allows for the high waisted boxing trunks worn by most boxers and kickboxers. I also added the Chest Wrestling Back Only layer. Strange this was neglected but the one arm strap version was not. The last addition I made to this update was a smaller leg guard layer to the calf and the foot to create a border around the existing leg guards. I also added the Calf Abstract layer for one of the combination examples just for fun because it looks darn cool on top of that leg guard.

*UPDATE* July 31, 2017 Probably the last update for a while. I made "Kaiser" the other night and while he looks really awesome in Fire Pro, there's still a few extras that would really do him justice. I added these parts to the list. I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of them are reusable for other wrestlers and many of them are parts I've been wanting for a while like a front thigh line, front calf line (remember calves can have items as long as they're mirrored down the Y axis) and a side line for the upper arm and forearm. My personal wishlist item would be the fins he has on his forearms that could help make many other cool looking wrestlers. The Kaiser retro lines are imperative to creating the first appearance Kaiser which I think is historically important and will also add more waist layers that are actually on the abdominal area which is severely lacking at the moment. This also works for La Parka. Another part I felt was much needed was a Line layer for the Triangle thigh part. The triangle thigh part is one of the few shapes without a line which could make a huge visual difference. Another thigh part I've added that I think could really add to our game is the facedown moon symbol. Perfect for Mr. Perfect himself, "S.Dolphin" himself. Would also make great pants for Jake and "Spike" Classic, etc. Speaking of Mr. Perfect. Last but not least, a front only wrestler singlet and waist and chest layers to create the pointed down triangle that a certain individual might have.

*UPDATE* August 8, 2017 Recently did some more edits. Really hoping to see that monogram on the waist tights someday! There's a lot of mask parts I wish were in the game, hopefully they'll just give us some of the older mask pieces that were in the other games like the older El Samurai mask.

Working on Great Nita, King Pogo and Great Muta, I've discovered the need for the half paint layer. I'm sure there are plenty of others but those are who come to mind. Also added a respirator which could even be used as a mask for classic Mortal Kombat edits. Lastly, more facepaint layers, enough to make Mike Awesome's Gladiator facepaint accurately and who knows what else people could come up with using these parts

The zigzag calf will come in handy for Great Muta, MUTA, Great Nita, King Pogo, Mossman and countless others. Zigzag wrist guards can add character to our edits as well as improve our Goldust and Harlem Heat edits and probably tons of luchadores. I'll probably add zigzag thigh layer examples, too, at some point as I've seen that on several wrestlers now including Scott Norton. Also added a waist zigzag layer which would serve Dean Malenko and Scott Hall edits well.

From a suggestion on the Arena forum, I also added an inner thigh triangle layer which would play off of the existing Waist Layer C (2) very well!
