I'll hold off judgment until they reveal a little more about the show. Hourman's a bit of a surprise (I would've been willing to bank on a Doctor Fate series popping up before Hourman), but he's definitely a hero who lends himself to the hourlong format quite well. And, hey, who knows? If it's a success, maybe one of his JSA cohorts will wind up with a spinoff. I'd still like to see a WWII set JSA movie (and Hourman would be a big part of that) at some point, but this could be pretty cool.
Although I've got ten bucks on Hourman looking less the Rex Tyler we know and love, and more like that Brodude who stares at you from the Gap ads.
So how many DC series is that in development? Constantine, Deadman, Gotham Police, and now Hourman? Plus Amazons - although I'm pretty sure that one has been shelved - and a "possible" Flash spin-off from Arrow. Yeesh, I know they'll probably never have Marvel's success in film (because they're riding that gas pedal), but DC is actually doing a pretty decent job in the television world. They've come a long way since Birds of Prey.
